Currently unable to finish the "stashed away" triumph on the Glykon due to gate keeping. At the end of the season, after the chests have been added week after week, why can't we just collect all the items we've missed out on? My friends and I are a week or two behind and blocked from completing the triumph and "all the shattered pieces". I know the Glykon is likely sticking around but it just seems unnecessary to block progression at this point.

They should have done it like the penguins from last season. There was only one penguin released each week. But if you missed a week (because real life) you could pick up the current and any previous penguins that you had missed. I still don’t think they should time gate stuff but at least missing a penguin didn’t mean you had to wait another cycle. The problem seems to be that when they do something right they don’t repeat the process.

Bungie does not care about their community and they show it time and time again. Everything has to be a mess instead of simple.

2 RepliesLet's connect the dots..... Drip fed content Power locked content Limited transmog....... All seems in line........or maybe it's a false conspiracy.

What they said about cutting out fomo was a lie~

Less time gated content next season

1 ReplyYou’ve mentioned two separate triumphs. “All the shattered pieces are time gated by 3 weeks max. A week for each set. You must complete a set before reset for the next set to unlock. Stashed away is not, to my knowledge, time gated. (I could be wrong on this) Can you tell me if this resolves the issue: Complete the mission once, then run it back on the same week and go through and collect each stash IN THE ORDER they unlocked
-
6 Replies2 points of order: 1. The "Tucked Away" Triumph can be completed this week regardless of any progress made in other weeks. You are not locked to one chest per week. 2. The "All the Scattered Pieces" Triumph is time locked, but only for a 3 week duration. This is required for the Seal, but you have had 12 weeks to get this done. I have zero sympathy for someone that waited until the very last week and then complains about being unable to get this done.

You should be able to collect ones you missed. I didn't start doing them until week 5 or so. I was able to collect all of them from the previous weeks in one run and simply had to wait until each reset for the most recent.

For 5 little triumph points, I’ll pass.

1 ReplyFrom the 4-22-21 TWAB:
SEASON OF THE CHOSEN SEAL PURCHASE Acquisition of all the scannables in the Presage mission is required for the Season of the Chosen Seal. The scannables are collected over a period of three weeks – players need to collect all the scannables in each week and claim the associated Triumph before the weekly reset. With the following weekly reset, the next set of scannables will be available in the Presage mission. Because a period of three weeks is required to collect all the scannables, players have until the weekly reset on April 27 to collect the first week’s scannables and claim the associated Triumph if they want to be able to purchase the Season of the Chosen Seal from the Bungie Store. Additionally, players must also begin purchasing Chosen mods from the War Table before the weekly reset on April 27 if they want to purchase the Seal because there are six mods total that must be acquired.
You had all season to work on the triumph. Today we learned a very important lesson: Don’t procrastinate.

So I didn't understand how to do the scannables, do you have to run the Master version to get them? Cause I got the first weeks scannables running the regular version, but after that I couldn't scan anything
-
The Presage mission will still be available after Season of the Chosen ends, and the caches don't need to be opened to complete the Chosen Seal/Title.

Edited by Olórin: 5/6/2021 1:03:25 PMCollectables dont really seem like something that should be time gated to start with, imo. So i kinda agree. Dreaming city is different since its a different location each week for the Ascendant Challenge so its a big lead up with ever changing missions each week. Presage, despite it being one of my favourite missions, is just one Mission, the collectibles are all there and you can literally see them as you run passed some that are inactive. Would've been cooler to explore different sections and unlock different missions within the ship each week to make the time gating at least somewhat reasonably entertaining & adventurous.
-
1 ReplyLol so you waited the whole season to get a 3 week triumph done and are on here complaining about it. The title you really need is "ENTITLED"
-
You need 3 weeks to do the triumph tied to the title. You've had all season. Oh and THEY LITERALLY SAID HEY IF YOU WANT THIS TITLE STARTTHIS TRIUMPH NOW
-
Annoying isn't it
-
I agree completely. I can understand releasing a new little tidbit over time when the content is new, but once the last part is released, just let us collect them all in one go. Also it makes no sense whatsoever that you can't interact with any of the caches on your first run of the week, they literally make you run it a second time each week for no apparent reason. I can only assume it's to show higher participation numbers.
-
Not read all comments but you've got till end of season 15 to do these.
-
5 RepliesPretty sure they design it so you keep coming back. If you're a master of game design, just make your own destiny killer and be done with it. I'd love to play it.
-
I’m okay with things releasing over time. It would be nice if they stay unlocked as time progresses instead of being available certain weeks.
-
I'm basically in the same spot. Nothing to be done about it though. I couldn't play for a few weeks so i missed out. I'm not overly mad about it though. The fact that Bungie has to resort to such means to influence players to keep playing their game says enough.
-
Why don't you, uh, just play the game? I'm not advocating for time-gates or anything like that, cause they piss me off too. But like...we KNOW they're going to do it. They've done it for a long time, and it's clear they have no intention of stopping. So by KNOWING they'll time-gate, it stops being their fault when you miss something. If you know a horse is going to kick when you walk behind it, it's not the horses fault when you end up knocked flat on your ass. It's yours for getting behind a horse you knew was gonna kick. Play the game, do the quests and missions and triumphs as they come out, and you won't miss anything. Bungie isn't gonna stop time-gating. So instead of crying over missing something, just play the game and stay up to date so you DON'T miss out on the things you want.
-
Ideally if they are going to time gate stuff they should at least let people catch up to the current time gate regardless of what point in the season it is.
