6 RepliesGernader Jake said on his twitch stream today that the people, including him, at the Bungie community summit gave them the go ahead on this form of Transmog. If this is true, it is very disappointing to have a bunch of streamers tell Bungie, again, that something is cool when the wider community is NOT in favor of this at all.

it still is an easy win

The only things they did need to do was put a seasonal limit, but they did it anyway. I’ve got not problem with the proposed grind, it looks reasonable enough, but that seasonal limit. Activisions stench is still lingering in the air.
-
10 RepliesIf you were reasonable, you'd see that this system has taken a lot of development resources to implement. There needs to be some financial return on that. Realistically, 10 armour pieces per character per season is loads. Who even wants more than that? That's 2 full sets. In the 1st season we get 4 full sets. I don't understand who actually wants more than 1 set in the 1st place.
-
No one wants to keep doing dumbass mundane quest steps
-
This is Bungie. Of course they’re going to turn a good thing into a grind-fest that ends with purchasing Silver. Why are people so surprised? They’ve literally done this for years.
-
the very best part is, we are going to be charges to pretty much re earn the shit we already had to earn, and depending when you started to play, you had to earn it TWICE
-
4 RepliesThere is no goodwill here. Only Greed.
-
1 ReplyTHIS is what I’ve been saying. This is the lowest of low-hanging fruit, and they completely fvcked the dog. This transmog system is Bungie airballing an uncontested layup.
-
1 ReplyWait until they release their answer to not sunsetting but keeping the loot pool from stagnating. We're going to wish they had just kept sunsetting.
-
11 RepliesRight? F******g idiots. If this isn't a reason to quit the game now then I don't know what will
-
Typical Bungie. Gotta monkey's paw the hell out of any requests/suggestions from the players.

1 ReplyEdited by Demon_XXVII: 4/24/2021 4:29:36 PMTransmogrification They’re actually using Transmogrification to create a bounty grind, over 3 Stages [with 3 new currencies] monetised & capping player progress (what’s the chances of silver transmog being capped?) As Content! 😆 If it weren’t so desperate a cash grab, it would be laughable! Bungie: Just look how far you’ve fallen! Shame! Shame! Shame!

3 RepliesI could actually care less about transmog, it holds nothing of interest for me. Armor looks, how armor looks. A simple system players can use or not would benefit the most players, and maybe win over some players like me who think it is a huge waste of dev time. Maps, real content like new strikes, raids and dungeons would be way better investment. This system however, is a waste of time. I will not be doing transmog stuff, quests, bounties, or anything. 3 new currencies to work through just to change the appearance of gear. Total waste of time. Sigh, such a wasted opportunity to just make the game more fun without adding more endless grind.
-
5 RepliesBungie consistently makes the same mistake, they take something that should be relatively simple, and they make it as complicated as they physically can. In its proposed state, Transmog has too many steps, too many currencies, and too many restrictions.
-
They are propagating a new horrible system, which other publishers will now do. Not sure why they hate their player base so much. It feels really scummy.
-
It was never going to be a 1:1 transfer. I don't mind having to grind to make my armor look exactly the way I want it. And I also don't mind shortcuts of said grind to be paid. My entire problem is that they're emposing a limit. Like I get that there are some people who go our of their way to grind themselves into a coma to avoid spending cash. But there's no absolute way you could ever convince me that those people not spending cash is going to hurt Bungie significantly. Like. I'll be up front here. If they put out a new armor set that I loved for like. $9 usd, but for an additional $3-5 I could instant unlock the armor as transmog instantly I'd buy that easy. But the shader cost increase on top of this limit to me means they're just trying to gouge people who grind and save bright dust. I'm still baffled that the limit is per class. One lump sum that is a decent amount would have been more acceptable. It wouldn't let me accept the concept of a cap. But it would make it more tolerable.

5 RepliesI have absolutely no idea why the community is up in arms about this. I understand that players like to collect in game stuff, but for crying out loud, it's all cosmetic crap anyway. Looking pretty does nothing for your power level and won't get you through top tier end game content. Jeez, it's very rare I even stick a shader on, let alone a full ornament set. I'm so glad I'm not vain.
-
6 RepliesHonestly, I’m totally cool with a grind. It could’ve been an endgame grind and something to do once you max out your season. HOWEVER, making a cap of 10 pieces (or 2 armor sets) is insultingly low. Especially when you consider that many seasons introduce more than one armor set. (Hell, Beyond Light introduced 3 armor sets) Having the option to buy with silver is only ok, IF it’s to acquire the synth weave templates faster. Like how COD gives the option to pay to skip tiers in Battlepass. It should NOT be the only source after X amount of grinding. Also, I think synthweave templates should shared between all classes, but that’s just me

3 RepliesIt's time to bail. Y'all did this. I never wanted microtransactions. I wanted a videogame, not a cashshop. I'll pay for a game, but not microtransactions. You want this system? Then that's what they'll give you. Game has changed. They've made it into a mobile free to try version with microtransactions not associated with the game. I'm just here to play a game. This is not it. If you like it, stay and let them milk you. If you don't, it's time to bail. This game won't change, it's a Milking Cow. I also want transmog and shaders, but not like this. Let's bail. It's time to go.

You brought this on yourselves.

And that’s what makes this all the more frustrating.

1 ReplyAnother "Great Idea Badly Done", brought to you by Bungie LOL

Agreed!
