This game mode would always give you a guaranteed way to grind for select items that are within the power cap.
In order to account for seasonal power-caps — This loot would rotate in and out of the game mode as each season comes and goes. For example: if this was in the game now, players would be able to grind for rolls on weapons and armor like True Prophecy, Falling Guillotine, Holdfast armor, and Truthteller (old weapons and armor with the Worthy and Arrivals tags).
This allows us to always have a CONTROLLED METHOD to grind for relevant loot no matter how good or bad a seasonal event's reward structure is constructed.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Also a permanent mode Similar to Forges, or at least something with Black Armory loot, nothing is quite like it.

2 Repliesthis has to be the most upvoted post i’ve ever seen, good ideas deserve this many likes.

6 RepliesSo... add matchmaking to raids?
-
1 ReplyThis would be great but pretty sure bungie these days: “Is it fun? Yes. Well we won’t be having any of that then.”
-
The seasonal activity is the permanent menagerie style game mode that gives relevant loot Granted not permanent

And have a BRAND NEW set of armor that refreshes each season, as well as multiple BRAND NEW weapons that refresh each season. Sort of like a pursuit. Like a hand cannon and a pulse one season, then a sword and a bow the next and so forth. And have the gear be very intricately designed. I wanna see some effort, like the Kings Fall set.
-
Could rotate the activity used but have a system for choosing what drops that doesn’t change much. The loot chase is the fun in this game at least to me. Never feels good just not getting what you want. I spent from the moment imago loop was put into d1 until around the end of rise of iron trying for a fatebringer roll with rifled barrel and never even got a firefly roll, got a pretty beastly pvp roll but never came close to what I wanted as I could spend hours playing and not see a single drop

Yes just merge all the large public event ideas and loot, menagerie with varying bosses and themes and loot from week to week would work, make it like a matchmade raid experience.
-
Yeah, okay I’d be on board with that. Can this content rotate content as well? I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m pretty burnt out on the destiny content wheel, but could they update the bosses/mechanics also?

6 RepliesEdited by Rainey: 1/6/2021 5:34:51 PMI think it would be cool if they re-imagined Prison of Elders into something like Menagerie.
-
Hey dont worry bungie are going to sell you the menagerie back for 40 bucks.👍

Alter of sorrows is good it just needs updated rewards.

5 RepliesNessus wasn't vaulted, so why was menagerie?? I thought about it while heading to xur for an engram. Pretty sad actually, that was some of the best matchmade content.

1 ReplyThis is actually a great idea. I approve

1 ReplyEdited by CrazyWiz0: 1/6/2021 8:10:45 AMNo chance a request from the community I don’t think bungie will listen to us . But it’s a great suggestions as menageries was the best thing that destiny introduced last year

I like that players can come up with ideas for the game that can improve things. It's just knowing for a fact that Bungie's goal is not focused around that. Anyone can see that by looking at the fact that they haven't put the effort into updating the game, that 90% of of it has no purpose to even play.
-
I'm hoping Bungie is good with copy pasting by now so this shouldn't be difficult 😂😂😂
-
1 ReplyHonestly would rather play this than any other game mode in D2

30 RepliesCreate?. . . Haha! That's laughable!!! You're asking too much from Bungo. You wanna see creation?. . . Let me introduce you to Tess of Eververse. Best thing Bungo ever "created" for this game. Ever. EVER!!! . . . As in like EVERverse. Best thing ever . . . verse! Bungo Logic

2 RepliesIf they want to mix things up just call it some sort of simulation and have Vex Offensive, Sundial or Menagerie as a rotating part of it. They've already created that content anyways. Use some of those seasonal arenas for that.
-
why can't we just have relevant loot in game?
-
1 ReplyMenagerie was fun for a while. I like the concept of it. Like a mini raid with matchmaking for the lower difficulty levels. Different bosses with different mechanics. I did like being able to grind for specific weapon rolls too.
-
As someone else said, just bring back the Prison of Elders and have it be this basically. Plus it'd give us our arena PvE mode back and let Gambit keep being Gambit. There's so many reasons to do something like this its not even funny. It would only benefit Bungie and us in the long run. They wouldn't have to waste time making new loot systems and containers as often and what not. It'd be a streamline way to update things and add another core activity.

1 ReplyI'd love to have an updated menagerie because it's a fun matchmaking 6 player activity. It makes more sense for Bungie to put resources into it. Than say trials where there's a tiny amount of the player base playing but using up resources and development time.
