1 ReplyEdited by Curry?: 7/9/2020 11:14:47 PMI actually like that it shifts the meta every season. But they definitely need to broaden champion mods to special weapons too. Something like unstoppable fusion rifles, barrier snipers, or overload shotguns. More options would be great.

Why would exotics be exotic like that. Everyone knows that exotics are just limited use legendaries with strange perks that change every so often in hopes someone uses them.
-
This is the sole reason I don’t do nightfalls or anything involving champions, I’m not using weapons I don’t want to use
-
3 RepliesOur load outs are restricted each season in order to change the weapons we use instead of having the same 3 weapons be the meta in each season. Exotics should have them if the mod is available that season like unstoppable handcannons should work with ace of spades if it were up to me. But not every mod should be available at all times
-
12 RepliesWhy not change the post to. For the love of the traveler please REMOVE champions from the game
-
What if all kinetic can break the shield, all special can stun overdrive, all heavy can stop unstoppable?
-
2 RepliesIt's mind numbingly stupid to introduce these new enemies with this new mechanic and not let you apply the mods to all weapons and the fact that they didn't give disruptions rounds and bullshit like that to exotics intrinsically was just well... stupid.
-
I think they should just move all champion weapon mods to the gauntlets. Similar to what they did with the unstoppable pulse rifle mod this season. Also they should add anti champion mods to more plain exotics like skyburners.

We sappolt freedum uff choize lulz.. -OG Bungie

7 RepliesGet rid of champions, problem solved. A first person shooter that negates the use of its guns is ridiculous.
-
It was ok at first but now I have to use weapons that I have not levelled up just because this seasons in vogue weapons. Also makes anything with champions harder if you can’t use your go to load out.
-
4 RepliesIt feels like an artificial way to raise up certain weapon types each season, to make them feel better and shine when otherwise, they might suck, but it ultimately just feels terrible and VERY limited and restraining on our playstyles. Good idea. Terrible execution. If we were able to put mods on any legendary that would be fine, we don't need them on exotics, sorry.
-
I’ll see your idea and raise one better: put ammo mods on our ghosts. They make the ammo anyway, so canonically would make sense.
-
1 ReplyI kind of say just get rid of champions. To me it was a meh way to make endgame harder.
-
Soon we won't be able to choose what we use full stop when the sunsetting kicks in.

-
1 ReplyDon't get why it's not a passive.. When you unlock it all those weapon types get them as passive so you don't need to slot a mod.
-
Sunset Champions and make the anti barrier an regular mod.
-
I still think each Exotic should have an intrinsic Champion perk that makes sense. Precision weapons can stop Unstoppable, repeaters (Pulses, Autos, etc.) for Overload, and impact/burst (Swords, Shots, Rockets, etc.) weapons to bust Barriers.
-
I haven't equipped a single champion mod this season, I just use a sword.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Wes: 7/9/2020 3:55:44 PMThe champion mods need to be armor mods and all armor needs to have 12 total energy, with 2 of that only being accessible by champion mods in a champion mod slot. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/256614254/0/0

2 RepliesNo idea why champion mods don’t have their own slot on weapons, so you don’t have to constantly swap out your Icarus mods you use for Crucible for Overload/Barrier mods, and back and forth.
-
1 ReplyFalling guillotine would like to have a word about champion mods.
-
The champion modding system is so arbitrary and dumb. Same for armour mods with the their affinity/season attachment.

4 RepliesThey secretly made us all use double primaries again 😂 gg

3 RepliesThe champoin mod concept is pretty much just a way to make players use certain loadouts and certain mods for that content. There's no point in me having an inventory full of mods I've collected and grinded for or god roll weapons when I can't use them in that activity and instead have to slot mods just so I can damage bullet sponge mobs. Bungie - We want you to play the way you want to play. Player - Sweet, I want to rock this nightfall with my favorite weapons that I spent ages grinding for just to get the best rolls. Bungie - Yeah, we don't like that idea. Here, use these weapons and don't you even think of using any other mods than these ones either! Now go have fun... Player - But.... Bungie - No, now GO HAVE FUN!
