Armor mods prove disappointing
Hi Bungie. Love the game.
We spend a lot of time getting out stats where we want them. But ... there is barely any perceptive change in gameplay no matter how my stats are changed with mods. (Looking at you resilience). Had 70’s-80’s resilience last weekend and would loose trades to a hunter with 10 resilience with both of us using the new FL shotgun. Point blank exchanges but wild disappointing results. I’m just an average player but with lots of playing time, the mods feel fairly useless in reality. I bet a good player would still be good regardless of armor stats. (console player). With no perceptible gameplay affected by the mods the whole idea became uninteresting to the game. Just my opinion.

Resillence would break the game if a high amount of it allowed you to survive a solid shotgun hit or soak up a considerable amount of damage in PvP. It would be a mandatory stat that all armor builds have to be tailored around. And the mods are far from useless. The Warmind cell mods make for very fun builds, same with the 'Charged With Light' mods from last season.

1 ReplyResilience has pretty much always had an imperceptible effect on your survivability unless you're paying attention to the math. A high Resilience may end up saving your in some situations, but you'll probably have a better chance of coming out of the other end of a firefight if you focus on Mobility/Recovery or the ability cooldown stats instead.
