Convert old pinnicels into pre-nerf exotics
In light of sunsetting i think this would be the best move for bungie, as this would pay respect to the time investment players put into them. Players who unlocked the pinnicel version could then have the exotic version auto unlocked. Making these weapons into exotic would also cut down on their usage as it would take up the exotic slot and force players to make choises; I.E. do i want to run breakneck for add clear or xenophage for boss dps. Pre-nerfed break neck, lunas/NF, and recluse were already boarder line exotics so it would add a few new exotics to the collections without taking away content.

1 ReplySorry to tell you this but they’re SunSetting weapons partly because pinnacle weapons were too strong. That’s why they’re done with pinnacles and will just have one ritual weapon per season now. While I agree with your idea I just don’t see it happening RIGHT NOW with Luke “PowerCreep” Smith running the slowShow....

2 RepliesIf we cant get new... then take those pinnavle perks and put them either in perk pool or just recycle them into new weapons. An ar with master of arms. A rocket with the orbs of light. ( may be broken as hell ) a heavy 4 round mt style heavy GL. Theres potential to use what we have and make insanely new weapons that will only last a year.

3 RepliesWhy does everyone keep asking for old stuff back!? This game needs new content! With everything that's been added in D2 I'd bet half is re-skinned from D1. And when you look at the quality of the rest of that content most of it caused people to stop playing!

If they bring back pre nerf NF as an exotic I would be so happy. It was literally the coolest gun in the game. It slapped in pve and pvp.

It allows them to be powerful without breaking the game due to loadout restrictions (i.e. no Recluse + MT, no Recluse + Izzy, no NF + Wardcliffe etc.). Could’ve avoided all the nerfs with this. 2. Solves the issue of “legendaries being more powerful than exotics” that Bungie cited as the reason they removed pinnacle weapons. 3. Solves the issue of half of our exotics being utter shit. Kills 3 birds with 1 stone! I never understood them removing pinnacles for outperforming exotics instead of just MAKING THE PINNACLES EXOTIC!

I would prefer they get the Redrix Claymore/ Broadsword treatment with a few additions. Like if the new Breakneck combined Onslaught and Rampage and was given Ambitious Assassin, or if Wendigo got either Spike Grenades or a buff to the stacks of orbs (either additional stacks or damage based on stacks). Probably the only 3 pinnacle weapons I see regularly are Recluse in PVE, Revoker, and before Felwinter returned, Luna/ NF.

9 RepliesNo. The only ones that could be exotics would be Hush, Breakneck, Loaded Question, Wendigo, Oxygen, and Redrix. The rest? Mountaintop, Revoker, LH/NF, Recluse (maybe I'm forgetting some), they're just literal easy mode guns. LH/NF- Regular 180, but kills in 3 bullets Revoker- Regular 72 RPM, but doesn't punish missing Mountaintop- It's unique, but it's unique not because every other dev didn't think of it, it's because every other dev actually thought of it. I mean, compare the ease of use of this thing to the heavy grenade launchers, Mountaintop is still easier. Recluse- Rampage/Kill Clip but significantly better and much higher up time, doesn't punish bodyshotting.

3 RepliesPinnacles were created to bridge the gap between Exotics and Legendaries so we could essentially be running two exotic weapons at once. It would defeat the purpose of Pinnacle weapons by bringing them back as exotics. I will state I'm not against the idea, and wouldn't mind the Revoker getting a new weapon model (and not one that is just a reskinned Blue weapon) and then returning as an Exotic to compete with the Izinagi.

3 RepliesLike others have said... they should have been exotics in the first place, however since they are not I think that it should be optional to convert them into exotics (or another weapon grade that is between legendary and exotic... pinnacle???) and thus allow them to avoid the infusion cap. You could turn them over to Banshee along with some materials and he could convert them from legendary to exotic. The masterwork would then be converted to a catalyst in order to allow the weapon to continue to generate orbs.
