64 RepliesI find it ridiculous that the pvp whiners are once again getting their way. For those of us that play the WHOLE game, we should be rewarded for grinding out the levels. I can’t believe that they will disable the artifact and reduce our power level just because a handful of pvp content creators whined about not being high enough level. Get out there and play the whole game like the rest of us.

What's wrong with the dev's at Destiny 2 now? Bad decisions across the board, and then 3-6 months later they 'fix it' and you guys praise it. I'd sell my world first belt to just visit their HQ and give them some thoughts. Half the shit that we loved in Destiny 1 is still not in Destiny 2. Trials is going to be a living hell, after getting teleport killed, having to use LFG sites to find 2 players. Seriously, think about that. Luke and his team invite a handful of non-content creators and then mostly content creators out to bungie for free content and stuff for them. Remember that time they invited a few of the top PVP'ers at the time, listened to their feedback, and didn't do anything? They've all quit the game and havn't come back. There's a reason why I havn't touched Destiny 2 in about two months. The game is just plain boring at this time, and forcing me to play trials in a p2p environment without dedicated servers when i literally wanted to uninstall the game when cheaters ruined my trip to mida multi-tool catalyst and not forgotten numerous times. Also, they fixed the catalyst cause it was a bug if you did it with clan mates so i wasted my time a ton there. Thanks...stop praising them for fixing dumb decisions. p.s. Luke, i did AQ40 opening when i was in college too back in 05....i would NEVER waste my time ever again with that cancer. Yeah, cool concept but really -blam!-ing dumb.

I agree with this. That doesn't happen often. PvP needs to be skill based. Level advantage will still be their. There still will be a hard power cap that you will need hit by completing pinnacle activities.

Since you can't be bothered looked up the numbers, only 25% of the community play PVP, and that is on a good day. The days it goes higher then that, is when there is a new event PVP centric that that only lasts as long as the bounties last You guys are the odd man out. End game content has always had light enabled, so if you guys can't grind for light its your own fault. The artifact, shouldn't be disabled, cause if you haven't paid attention the average guardian in PVP is around 990, last season it was 980, very few times did I ever come across a guy higher then these figures. This will be the same for trials. Now if you pay attention to destiny tracker light level, you will see there is only about 10000 people higher then 995 light level. Wow those 10000 people will they be playing crucible all at once at the same time, against you? All on one team? This is why the community, needs to think about what they are posting about before they post, look up the numbers before all this. Doesn't really matter, till Luke figures out it won't matter the level grinders will be well above the PVPers anyways prior to hitting the artifact level start

People who want to challenge with your pure skill, go to the mode where it's off, or maybe even light level advantage is off. This could reward both skilled players and those who spent millions of millions of time on grinding. People who have both could perform well on both sides as well.

Now that's off the table by LL still matters, so no lifers will still be able to get that advantage in a manner much more difficult to achieve and infinitely more inaccessible to most casual players and everyone is still like yay? I'm like 970 after this entire season (non-artifact adjusted numbers). There area going to be players 20-30 LL above me with or without the artifact, in weeks if not days. It still feels like there will be a MASSIVE advantage for anyone who really grinds and absolutely no route for 'regular' players if they can't devote 100's of hours to the game, even with the season pass and XP boosts in place. Better play those first few weeks when everyone is essentially at the same LL cause you will be left behind one way or another, with literally no hope of ever making up the ground. I feel like this is actually a case of be careful what you wish for. I guess we will have to wait and see.
