I'm very disappointed lately. What happened to the good old days. People willing to play with randoms and help each other out with raids, quests, etc. Everything has a price, no one can be realistic of oh you need atleast a clear, 10 clears, etc. What the hell happened that people just don't want to help out the common man or woman. This is the 3rd week in a row of trying to find people for GoS and to do divinity. People dont even want to help for random triumphs for the stuff for seals because god forbid you don't have a clear or just leave after a single bad run. This is getting to a point of I dont want to play this game again. The community is becoming too toxic again and I'm sorry for even wasting my time.

I know I don't respond to those posts because I am not at the level of handling raids yet, but if I could I would help. I get the feeling these helps would be best done with clan members that one knows is there to stay rather than a random person that will just leave. I guess others have stated why D2 has less help these days. I also guess it can be just different goals and interests not aligning.

2 RepliesYour not alone. This community has gotten to toxic and is just ridiculous. In these ways. 1- Paying for weapons 2- Not wanting to be nice 3- T-BAGING for no reason nearly 90% 4- Great Impatient load of crybabies 5- The "I want it now attitude" 6-Cheaters on PC 7-Being totally rude to people who enjoy the game. 8-Crying about Eververse "GLITCH" 9-Never giving true feedback, just saying what they dislike. "Not Feedback" it's your opinion. 10- 0 logic in reasoning/common sense ect. Now what I stated in reference 9 it's my opinion that who ever calls me a Fanboy, I'm not I'm a FAN. And if you wish to be rude, I can't stop you, but just know that my notifications are turned off. So I won't receive anything you say. And last, dud your not alone. Hopefully the crybabies will finally have enough and leave soon. Thanks for reading and have a nice Day.

2 RepliesEdited by CJ: 1/9/2020 1:26:36 PMIt's still like that, dude. All you have to do is look around a bit and you'll find good people. I played with a random English gentleman the other day who basically carried me and another blueberry through Zero Hour, the Heroic Whisper mission, Shattered Throne twice AND Pit of Heresy. He even stopped in the dungeons to show us where lore pieces were and all that.

1 ReplyLets be real though if you go to any community in any game there is plenty of toxic people in all of them.
-
2 RepliesMonetization is what happened. When players decided they could charge and would charge others, the community went to 💩.
-
6 RepliesI haven’t completed 1 raid in destiny 2, I’ve only tried twice. They’re just not as engaging as destiny 1 raids
-
who made them toxic?
-
Like this wasn't present in D1..... I'd say overall the community is helpful more often than not when time-crunching isn't a problem. Bungie's dumb grinding methods aside, if you don't have too much time to do something quick, you'll probably want experienced people who can help make it go quick. The lack of time differs from person to person not just in-game but with RL stuff too, and that's something that you can't really change other than by joining/not joining. It doesn't justify actual elitist pricks that drink their own sweat as if it's Mountain Dew of course, but someone preferring to play with other experienced players doesn't automatically mean they're toxic.

Sorry mate, it's like when you're at work trying to meet a deadline and the guy in the next cubicle asks for help. I've gotta cover my own ass first. That, and blame the raids for becoming less newb friendly. It used to be half the raid team could be absolutely clueless, just needed a guy who knew how the artifact worked. I don't think the community has changed, Bungie has changed the game to make things this way.

3 RepliesEdited by SpectralXIV: 1/8/2020 7:35:16 PMAnd we won Best community how lol

The truth is that every community has "bad apples." It is more pronounced when anonymity is a factor. John Smith may be nice to your face, but when he's xXnoobslayerXx he may become an absolute tool. Plus, bear in mind this variant of the old saying "you'll get ten negatives for every positive." That meaning - in combination with the aforementioned - that on forums, lfgs, online in general, you'll find 10 donkeyholes to 1 helpful individual. The actual spread of bad/good may be literally opposite, but negative individuals are much more vocal than positive ones. There are outliers on both sides, obviously, but in generalities, it'll hold true.

2 RepliesEdited by jaybird_29730: 1/8/2020 11:43:53 AMIt’s not the people so much as it is the system. I used to log on and have nothing to do, so if anyone asked me for help I was down. Now, I always feel like I’m behind on everything. I don’t have time to do what I need, much less time to help someone else.
-
That mentality went down the chute once Bungie turned this game into one massive laundry list of chores. Everyone's too busy with their to-do list to waste time helping others...
-
2 RepliesNobody has any free time in this game. Everyone is occupied with busywork and tedious grinds. They can’t help others if they can’t help themself.
-
Simple... game is not fun anymore... it’s a steaming pile of dung. If it was fun, people would be willing to donate their time, but it’s a chore anymore.

2 RepliesEdited by ZombieQahnaarin: 1/8/2020 7:19:21 PMJust did an LFG post for Divinity and someone at the boss that has done the puzzles invited me. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean every one is toxic. Last week I did Scourge of the Past for the first time, I vaguely knew what the encounters were and a team of 5 accepted me and carried me through. I also got Anarchy on the first try so I was happy and everyone In the group said congrats! I thanked them for their time and left. Yesterday I made a post for Sundial 950+ KWTD use mods and I got 5 random people and we completed it first run no wipe. I've even joined a Pit of Heresy guy that had no mic, but knew what to do and we rand through flawlessly. The only time I see players get frustrated is when they have to babysit someone in a raid, there's people you can explain over and over and they won't understand. You can even go to raid report find a sherpa on xbox (the account I assume you're on because of linked profile) shoot them a message ask them for help chances are they have a clan that can run with you. Worst case scenario they say no and you can work your way down the list. EDIT: Also wanted to add there are people in this forum actively recruiting for clans.
-
So what’s the going rate for raid tutoring/completion? Because the number of LFG (at least on console) that aren’t KWTD -or- 10+ clears (etc.) are virtually non-existent.
-
2 RepliesI wanted to do GoS but could never do it because YouTube videos confused me. I heard that itll take hours with the clan I'm in. Looks like it's an exotic I'll never get :( along with that smg from CoS or gernade launcher from SoTP
-
I'm not a raider, however I did clear vog and crota in D1. When I was ready to do those raids I joined a group called the 100io (or something like that). That group was very good. I matched up with 5 people and they helped me get through both raids easily, and the people were very pleasant. Also, not everyone here is toxic. Most the people on my friends list came from this forum and they are some of the nicest people I've met.
-
1 ReplyDo you not remember d1 “ must have gally” on every post
-
That's the main reason I (along with 95% of the player base) don't play raids. I wanted to play them in Shadowkeep and I played GoS on Day 1 and got up to the boss but could never beat it later on being unable to find a decent team. Now I'm not even interested in it due to the toxicity. However, I do help others out in stuff like Whisper, Zero Hour, Master NFs, etc. Last season I carried a lot of people in the Master NF because people wanted it so badly for the Undying title.
-
It used to be alright, but now people are so damn stubborn and stupid I refuse to help these players when they won’t grind out the necessary items.
-
4 RepliesThis whole community is trash either garbage thumbless bots, ungrateful brats and toxic waste of air.
-
I would’ve helped you if you played on pc
-
Message me on xbox guy. Even though i havent hopped on destiny since the new season started.. i can gather 4 ppl from my clan easily whom are experienced and we can get you threw that raid no problems.. even do the divinity quest for you too. Sometimes all you need to do is reach out to the right person..
