Cmon Bungie! Fix the damn EDZ Obelisk!!
For crying out loud I havent been able to mess with that obelisk yet! -blam!-ing ridiculous

308 RepliesThe team has identified the issue, and is currently developing a fix. As we're entering the holidays, we're expecting this to be addressed in January. While we have provided workarounds, I understand that this is a frustrating issue in the game. I've had to reload an instance 5-8 times to get around the issue. Ended up fully upgrading the obelisk as quickly as possible to avoid hitting the bug, which I'd recommend you do as well. After fully upgrading, important functions (acquiring bounties, linking the obelisk to the sundial) can be done from the Tower.

6 RepliesYou are on PS4. You can change the date on your PS4, reload into the edz by the obelisk and it will work. -The obelisk won't work if there are other ppl in the lobby who don't have it unlocked. Changing the date while force you into an empty lobby => profit.

6 RepliesHere’s the best work-around: * Save up 2000 fractals * Spend 15-20 minutes fast-travelling to get the obelisk to interact * Upgrade the fscking thing so you never have to attempt it again Thanks Bungie. You get a lump of coal in your stocking this year!

7 RepliesJust fast travel back and fourth 38 times, turn all your clocks back one hour, put your Xbox in the freezer for a week, spawn in and creep towards it whilst crouched and moving backwards then say three Hail Marys and throw your Grenade at the second tree. Works every time for me, you lot just don’t know how to have fun in this game. 🙄

Bungie Devs first need to get 30 rocket launcher kills in Iron Banner before they can unlock the fix for the EDZ Obelisk.

I can confirm the workaround dmg posted. I reloaded into the instance a couple of times and I managed to get it to work.

3 Repliesi was able to get it to finally work by turning off my console (XboxoneX) unplugging the console from the power brick. Waited about 20 seconds before plugging back in and rebooting. Once signed in i went directly to EDZ obelisk and interacted with it. i got the interact prompt immediately. I tried to do the fast travel to a different place and back, or return to orbit and back multiple times and none of those worked Maybe i just got lucky, but at least i'm past this -blam!-ing stupid bug

Does it help you in any way?? Then they will fix it in like 5-6 months. Now if it gave you a little free heavy ammo then it would gave already been fixed.

This is already on their list of known issues. Due to the holidays, it'll most likely be addressed after the new year (January). Until then, just reload the zone until you get it working.
