I’m losing hype for shadowkeep fast

-fortnite style battle pass
Omg I might actually switch over to borderlands because of this ridiculousness

What does bother me is the game is getting super grindy and time gated in a bad way. Destiny feels more like a job now than a game , and forcing people to do things and play the way they don't want to is no way to run a game , games are suppose be fun not digital versions of pull tabs . Also there's the community that shouts anyone down that has different ideas and is becoming increasingly more toxic ,if that's possible , and bungo doesn't help when bungo clearly has toxic employees like some of the CM's reinforcing that.

that's your opinion which i respect it but i really like every thing i saw so far, the only thing that bothers me is like when you don't get any exclusive rewards from hard things like soloing the shattered throne or completing a title ...

I don't get how you all seem to have selective memory about this but destiny 1 did it first with a little thing called SRL record book. which essentially achieved the same thing as the season pass except you had to pay for the whole thing and had no free option. yet it seemed to receive almost universal praise. but now a difrent version is back that not only has a free option to it, but is in each season and Shadowkeep for no additional cost and can not be purchased separately. in other words you get more content with each season. without this system you would just get none of the free stuff period, so you would have to choose between buying Shadowkeep and getting nothing. but if you just call it Fortnite then I guess that just magically dispels any dissent. right?

Edited by bronze189: 9/2/2019 1:04:30 AMI would recommend remnant from the ashes especially on PC but its also on console. Its like 40$ and its very looter shooter esk but no random rolls. BUT it has free dlc updates, no micro transactions, constantly being supported by devs, TONS of loot, Its a EXTREMELY large game with 4 planet destinations that have at least 2-4 hours of content each and each time you start the campaign over the planets completely reroll with new bosses, dungeons, and loot. And the gunplay and melee and movement in general feels amazing. Also no level cap your character can get OP as hell and world difficulty is based not on character level but gear level (which you craft) The negatives for it right now though is no text chat (which they are adding very soon) And if you want too 100% all the loot in the game it’s extremely frustrating as most of the time rerolling the campaign has no repeat protection so you can play the campaign 8 times but never see everything. (But they are fixing that with a free roam adventure mode that is coming free in a week or two)

Bungie is cash crunched and now that stock options plans aren’t on the table the great decision makers at bungie had to find a way. They must have also been so salty to see most of the playerbase give money to players rather than to them or their streamkers. However they don’t understand the concept of elasticity of demand. Inelastic and elastic demand curves aren’t market segments to convince.

I'm waiting to see how things will pan out, but going back to a place where I have spent hundreds of hours is nothing to get excited about. "Content is hard to make" = excessive grind for every little thing. "Moved EV to the main director " = means they put alot of there time and effort into microtransactions. If microtransactions are so important, why are they asking for $40? I'm keeping an open mind, but I'm only seeing red flags. Love destiny, but I don't want to be chained to it.

Why are you playing for ? Raid armor skin ? Well you will like some more than others. For the battle royale experience ? Destiny does not have that so Fornite would be a better choice for you. (you do realise that a game like Destiny is way more difficult to make than a game like Fortnite ? If Fornite was more like Destiny I might start to think that their battle pass is not a rip off)
