Gambit= Worst Experience of ALL TIME
The gamemode is hot garbage, we all know it. Going to bank the first motes and MEDIUM BLOCKER INBOUND!!! LARGR BLOCKER INBOUND!!!!!! Then they invade, wipe ur team and BOOM that's game folks. How is that fun to literally anyone
Edit: Btw, that was an example. If you think that's the only reason why others and myself despise the gamemode your crazy.

I like gambit but really hate gambit prime.That has to be the worst mode of any activity in the game.Reckoning is a bag of shite too

Ive been getting kicked out of gambit every game and got suspended for it so i cant even finish my armor 🤦🏽♂️

1 ReplyI use to hate Gambit with a passion... but now... after a long break, I realize that I still hate it with a passion who am I kidding Specially those freaking captains... good luck trying to snipe them, or take them down with your hand cannon... just when you are about to kill him... another one appears... ridiculous the amount of times they can teleport. Sometimes I just give up and simply sit down and let them kill me... or I use my super if I am really pissed. Now seriously, I learnt to adapt to the game, still hate being paired up against stacks, but the game feels better for me, I just take a pill, relax and for the most part I do quiet well... dont care about winning as much and when I dont, I end up winning... but I hate those teleporting captains with all my heart...

You don't like the invasions every 15 seconds???? I grinded Breakneck. That was enough gambit for a life time. I haven't touched the reckoning bc I heard gambit prime is hot garbage.

The length of a match annoys me more. Obviously a decent pre-made team will steamroll. Most of the matches I've played run right down to the clock. Just boring.

8 RepliesThis is why I advocate for an invader free version of gambit. The game mode weighs too heavily on the juggernaut coming through with wall hacks and an overshield with full hammerhead ammo every time. Make the game just a dps and coordination race and no invaders. The team who kills the primevil first is clearly better built for pve content then. Instead, we have to make this weird half and half load out where I can't use my favorite pve weapon because I have to remember that an invader is coming and I have "try" to defend myself. Of course they just kill us easily and then sit in our spawn taking pot shots with hammerhead and getting 6 kills easily every time because I don't get any heavy drops, oh and I'd like to use something other than hammerhead in the mode. Take out the invader mechanic, make it an actual cooperative pve activity VS. Another team and their dps potential. That sounds a lot more fun to me.

At least 50% of the time it goes like this. -get 5-10 motes -Run to Bank -Bank closes right when I get there and small blocker appears. -Kill Blocker & Hold ‘X’ while bank pops back up. -Bank immediately sucks down, transaction didn’t complete and a Medium Blocker shows up. -chase teleporting Taken Captain all over Bank area and kill it, hold ‘X’ to deposit motes as bank pops up -bank sucks down before motes deposit, and a medium to large blocker shows up. -Invader appears and kills me while my hands are full with the blocker.

6 RepliesThe back to back to back invasions is just too much. If your team kills an invader, you should get at least a minute of peace and quiet, not this 10 second bullsht we have now.

The other team just kept invading and ruined my good mood. Then I grabbed my Truth and jumped in the portal, easily gave a team wipe. Just to prove how easy it is to invade and how frustrating this mechanics can be. The magic in this is for a lot of people, no matter you are doing badly or you are doing fine, there's just no fun. I really want a gambit that disables invaders. I mean if you guys love the current version then go ahead have fun, but if there's a gambit without invaders, I can stay there all day. Simply make blockers more dangerous. I don't mind if there's motes draining as well, as long as I don't need to deal with the laggy frame dropy wall hacky invaders.

The problem with Gambit is the GOOD feeling moments are too few and far between compared to how BAD the bad moments feel. In a game of crucible, yeah you might die, but you’re right back in and might get a kill right after. Gambit is “let me go as fast I can to kill PVE enemies, oh crap my random teammates suck and no one is picking up orbs, oh crap the enemy teams SOMEHOW dropped 35 already and are invading, oh great we lost two guys and 25 motes, game over.”

The mode was fun the first few weeks it was out, now that there is a pattern to everything it comes down to the invasions, which happen far too often. Once invasion per person use it wisely, or not at all, that would be up to each combatant, you want to invade all at the same time, thats your choice but, what we have now is infuriating. pvp invader with extra protection, health and does more damage.. seriously WTF!!!!! both teams need only bank on the invader right now, its not a team game its not pve and pvp balanced, its a mess.

I'm not playing Gambit or Gambit Prime (or indeed, any Crucible except QP or Iron Banner) because I don't consider it 'fun' to have opposing teams exploit the game's peer-to-peer networking to lagswitch, drophack, DDoS when they're losing. It turns into a total waste of time where you get zero credit for the part of the match that was played (i.e. the first round), because the opposing team will simply kick you and leave your team short-staffed so they (usually) end up losing. Dedicated servers or bust.

It COULD be great, but it’s not mainly for two reasons. - The current state of the mechanics means most matches are incredibly one sided, OR they aren’t one sided for the COMPLETELY wrong reasons. - Invasions are WAY too frequent and a barely competent invader can do WAY too much damage.
