couldn't have said it better.... "The game mode is hot garbage, we all know it." Played for the powerful and had 1 or more people using AFK macros each game -- I'm certain nothing will be done to improve the "experience" however venting feels great :)

Considering im coming hot off rage right now and lost like 12 outta the last 15 matches and getting invaders spawning directly behind me insta killing me before I can even move to cover than same invader coming to spawn kill me to heal the primevil again for the 2nd time before I can even shoot my gun. Also shooting an invader with my linear fusuon only for him to teleport and instakill me with TRUTH!! TRUTH IS WORSE THAN SLEEPER IN GAMBIT BTW! I cant beleive I have to endure this for 21% delerium which btw I made it all the way to Legend last season but the new season reset me to 0 and I couldn't do anything because I was away for work and so 70+ games down the tube and here I am about 40 games in to trying to reset infamy so I can get Delerium and im being tortured every single match. NON STOP INVASINON UNLIMITED AMMO TRUTHS, BAD SPAWNS, TELEPORTING, MEATBALL GOING IMMUNE JUST AS MY NOVA BOMB HITS IT. I LITERALLY AM GOING INSANE! WHY BUNGIE DO YOU MAKE QUEST SO EXCESSIVE THAT YOU FORCE PLAYERS TO PLAY A GAME MODE TO THE POINT OF HATRED. THAT DOESNT HELP YOUR GAME! Oh and I get Bad Omens every single drop!! Can I not get something else for once!? THIS IS GARBAGE!!

I hate it and only go when I have to, but it would be great to know how many people play it on regular basis as a proportion of the player base. It can be a really demoralising game when you are up against a team that is organised and banks early and has a good invader. The invader status needs a real update they should stand out like dogs balls on the radar and their shielding should be zero. Had my rant and ramble off to play other parts of the game, Destiny is a great game been in since almost day one we just need to accept that Bungie have a very strong view on the game and its often going to be at odds to your own viewpoint. Occasionally like menagerie they get it right.

havent you noticed the pattern here ? enemy team collects motes in order to have 4 blockers at the same time dispatched on your bank and then invade instantly so that they can drain your bank.. and its a horrible fun to have a single slowabomb ready to wipe them blockers instantly and then sit there in the spawn with 4 truth rockets and sayin to the invader "i have been expecting you" ... *hrhr* but yeah i had the short end of the stick.. when i was trying to lose by purpose with the team we had a shitty hard time to let the opposing team win.. since they have been utterly shitty... and then when i had my notorious armor set completed and just needed ONE FRIGGIN SINGLE WIN: i was met with "interessting, new game modes" bungie seemed to have implemented for the "trying to win team" .. - all orange health bar enemies.. no red bars allowed.. - one giant Ultra and 4 - FOUR Mayor enemies spawn at the same time.. and they are all shielded hydras. -- *fun* not - famine modifyer is on.. no ammo for you, sucker..! ran out of ammo entirely no ammo for any of your guns during the primeeval damage phase.. ffs - reduced invader time for the enemy team: invader always on.. the time between the "invastions" was near to zero seconds.. nice idea bungie.. i i think the game tries to get which team tries to win and then applies the modifyer as a "catch up mechanics".. maming the game real reallly shltty to play =) took me 8 tries to get ONE friggin single win.. ffs.

If your Team knows what they doing kill bank invade rotate, blockers incoming then stop what you doing and kill em don’t ignore blockers otherwise they will pile up

The good thing about gambit is you dont have to play it if you dont like it. Gambit was just intended for a "pvp" and "pve" experience combine. I like it and find it fun.

I’m saying this as someone who has gotten Malfeasance (solo except for the strike variant) but has never reset my Infamy and has never played with a premise fireteam larger than 2 people. Here’s how my match usually goes; -Split after transmat, grab 5, maybe 10 if it’s fast, motes. Split for the bank and get a First to Block. This seems to throw off less organized teams for some reason, even though it’s just one blocker. -A: Start slaying like Chuck Norris with a scout rifle (usually Garden Progeny) letting others grab the notes. If I’m unlucky enough to be with morons who don’t grab notes then I have to scoot and pick them up, but that’s pretty rare. -A: Run around and use close range weapons (SMG, shottie, or sidearms are best), grab 10-15 notes, rinse and repeat. - Get invaded. Learn the spawn points in relation to the locations of your teammates, and it’s pretty easy to kill an invader. Scouts like Garden Progeny or Polaris Lance are awesome and can map people if you use them right. Snipers are the best option to drop them fast if you have the ammo. Alternatively, you can use a tracking RL (Zenobia-D with Impact Casing, Cluster Bombs, and a Targeting Adjuster puts in work, Two-Tailed Fox is awesome also.) -If you have someone who seems to be good at invading, great. Let them do it. If not mentally time out when the heavy is ready, and take the time to grab that. Make sure all weapons are loaded and invade. If you can time it just after your allies send a blocker great but don’t count on that. As soon as you drop get to cover, and use a scout, sniper, long-range pulse, or RL to drop as many as possible before they can ID your position. If you can out-duel them at range great. That’s how I like to do it. Often though you have to get your hands dirty, sidearms kill really fast but autos or 540 pulses are really good too. I usually get 2-3 kills when invading, and usually get 5-15 Guardian kills per game. Not great for sure, but pulling my own weight. - Repeat above steps until you pull the boss. Once the boss has spawned your top priority is neutralizing invaders. Always save some special (snipers) or heavy (tracking rocket launcher, grenade launchers if you’re waaaay better than me, machine guns) for this, unless you’re rocking a long-range primary and are competent with it. Don’t be afraid to dump primary ammo into a boss, once you have some Slayer buffs going you still do good damage. If you’re opponents have summoned their Primeval then wait until he’s at 80% (ballpark estimate) health and then invade. You just need to kill two guardians to really set them back. If you’re playing Gambit Prime the above rules still apply, but CAMP THE DARN WELLS!!!!!!!! Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. [spoiler]Sorry, all out of salt.[/spoiler]

Took a break from it, but I went back into it for the Blue Solstice Armor. I swear, it feels like the stomp mechanic's radius on the bosses got increased.

Use a 1k, truth, or literally any god damn sniper in the game. If you can’t beat the invader that’s on you not on Bungie.

That's how gambit works. You don't like it, don't play it. Then go complain about it here. Oh, you've already completed that. Cool. You get the complaining triumph! Don't forget to visit the tribute hall to place your complaining tribute. 😁🥳

I hate when that happens too, but it's very rare, because get this: go fast and bank first. Are you that terrible you die in Gambit and lose your motes every single match? Come on man, what your basically broadcasting to everyone is that you don't understand the game mode or are just really bad at it. And that's ok, but this is a terrible post and doesn't shed any positive light on you at all. And guess what? Other players enjoy Gambit. You think your awful opinion is worth a mountain of gold when it's really not even worth a melted pebble of gold seeping out of Smaug's buttcrack.

I mean, just bank faster. If you know the match is determined off of the first invasion, bank and try and get your teammates to bank the moment that 25, 50, or 75 mote milestone is reached. If you're solo, don't grab any motes on the first wave. Let your blues do it while you clear adds and then wait for the invader if the enemy bar fills up to 25. I'm not saying invasion snowballing isn't an issue. I'm just saying there are ways to be on top.

Uhhhh..... That's the point of the game smart guy. This self entitlement mentality needs to stop. Better luck next time, no points for second place and stop looking for trophies just because you participated.

I believe they nicknamed Season of the Drifter as "Season of the Invader" for a reason within week 2 of its release. Sure enough. I got to find out what the hell the big deal was.

Actually bounties are the problem, some of them are counter to what you should be doing.

Even when you’re winning it’s quite boring tbh.

I don’t mind the original gambit. Not a fan of prime though.
