Iron banner is bad
Gear way to long to get and may not be what you what. Tokens are only for weapons. No armor for ranking up only guns after each game and cheating only makes it harder

Its peer to peer connections. It is the gaping hole, in an otherwise air tight ship. It's cheaper for Bungie to do this and they aren't going to change it. They will preach about network setup and how great their matchmaking algorithms are, but until they get dedicated servers, PvP will always be a shitshow

Nothing has changed. And also why it's been control since the launch of D2 is beyond comprehension. Bungie, change the -blam!-in PvP mode in Iron Banner!

3 RepliesI've done all but one bounty and handed in all my tokens, all i got was garbage tier guns that i don't want or need. I want the armour so i can unlock the shaders and sparrow but the drop rate for armour is pathetic.

To my shock, I enjoyed IB last night. Got a good 3.5 hours in till the clock hit 9pm which is when it always goes downhill. So that's when I always stop with any PvP activity (other than Mayhem cause who gives a flying fluck). This is coming from an average at best player in pvp that only does QP anymore (don't like the state of comp currently). Think I maybe won 50% of the matches tops. 1 or 2 were super close, 1 or 2 were super sweaty and went to the timer, and rest were either blowouts or mercy ruled quite fast. Heck, for some reason that defies all odds there were several games where I topped the charts in kills and damage done! I even got 6 kills with one Arc Strider super use! Whats with that?!?! I'm sure by the weekend it will all have gone downhill as with the only people left are the super sweaty, we're gonna farm you cause you took to long to grind your bounties groups. Hopefully I'll have everyone done by then for the triumph so I can not get the sweat stink on me.

I just got killed by a teleporting titan running hammers. One minute I'm alone in a hallway, the next I explode from nothing. Then the titan that killed appears on the other side of the map teleporting like Nightcrawler. I think I'm going to pass this Iron Banner.

This is the best Iron Banner for me yet! I don't play Iron Banner, but those stupid boons they used to give away begging you to go into Iron Banner dismantled into IB tokens! I received several SMGs and a sniper that I hadn't gotten before. They're not fantastic, but it's nice to shoot something other than a the ugly Forsaken SMGs once in a while. Bungie please give more boons for future Iron Banners.

29 RepliesI can agree on the headline but everything else should not take longer than 10 matches for average players which is basically nothing for Destiny. PvP is at it's worst state ever. In the attempt to make fun weapons Bungie got carried away and gave us weapons like Jötun. How is that not a power weapon? You don't need skill to use it, it kills with one shot over long distances. It is a power weapon. Titans get a gear based over shield, Titans get a gear based extended super and are basically unstoppable and could technically take out an entire fireteam twice. Grenade launchers in the energy slot are the next stupid thing. When did aiming down sights become a secondary requirement in an FPS PvP Mode? Don't nerf it, those weapons are fun but Quickplay is turning a teeny tiny bit into Mayhem. Would be awesome if there are a Rifle Only Mode... I'd thoroughly enjoy that. 1 Heavy Spawn every 2.5 Minutes and no fusion rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers etc.., Just Auto, Scout, Pulse and Snipers, people might actually start loving it.

I dunno i play to have fun, win or lose. Some times i get curb stompec but that only means the match is over faster hahaha Finished my thorn quest thanks to IB so atleast i have that going for me.

Nah it sucks because the matchmaking system still fails to pit 6 man fire teams against one another and that ruins the solo-queue experience. It sucks because most of the maps [are terrible] and have spawn traps that allow for back to back inescapable power plays. It sucks because contesting a zone is a fruitless effort 90% of the time. It sucks because Titans are -blam!-in brain dead players with one hit melees, striker lasts four hours and wall hacks that heal them.... and make up 4-5 players on every team. It sucks because the armor is locked behind some -blam!- quest line that tries to diversify the game mode but fails to because prime engrams oversaturate powerful gear streams and make iron banner null in comparison to a daily strike or adventure. It sucks because of a lot of things, but certainly not because people are cheating. So stop that.

IB has been poor in D2 for so long now, poor weapons and armour. I don't get why it's been left like this for so long.

I literally am only playing this load of garbage for swarm of the raven with spike grenades, I have gone through like a thousand tokens over the season and not gotten it. Giving me shit rolls like genesis over and over. At this point im going to drive my head through the screen.

15 RepliesThere was no reason at all to change the reward system in iron banner from D1. The unpredictability, no clear way to earn armour sets is ridiculous, why are they always trying to fix what isn't broken instead of fixing what IS broken?!?!

Once you get your bounties and complete them you add the armor to the pool that you have a chance of getting. But I hear you want to really try for a Swarm of the Raven or whatever the Grenade Launcher is before completing the bounties so you don't dilute your chances at the Grenade Launcher. Just a thought. And I only played 1 day so far and already have at least one of the bounties like 5/6 of the way complete. It's not that long.
