Trials of Osiris Needs To Return
1. It is a FUN competitive environment. It had a good mode and it was sweaty but not overly sweaty like comp. It would define a good bridge between quickplay and comp. The account recovs and ddosers would likely remain in comp because that requires a larger time commitment so they would want to get that out of the way.
2. It was a glory like no other in Destiny to be able to show off the fact that you made it to the lighthouse and went flawless. There were emblems to prove it and your exclusive gear which had a unique design to differentiate between the regular and flawless gear, aswell as an extra perk which gave the gun some extra power whilst not making it game breaking.
3. Destiny feels so empty in the PVP side of things. There hasn't been any substantial changes to the fundamentals of PVP in over half a year. We need new maps and gametypes. Bringing back Trials would bring back a flare to PVP.
4. It would need to return as year 2/3 trials of osiris. 3v3 Elimination. Flawless ornaments for armour. Adept Weapons. Personally, I have recreated the environment of trials of osiris in Destiny 2 private matches and it works. 3v3 Elimination is great. 1v3s are great. The gamemode is enjoyable. 1v3 clutches are exciting. There is NOTHING wrong with the formula. Unlimited revives along with revive control.
5. The ONLY reason that Trials was not successful in Destiny 2 (which is debatable in itself) is that the sandbox was terrible. The problem had nothing to do with Trials itself but it was due to the fundamentals of Destiny 2; double primaries, slow ability cooldowns, etc. If you have no intention of bringing us back what WE ARE ASKING FOR, at least TRY trials with the new sandbox.
Overall, it was perfect. Bring back the best PVP mode to ever grace destiny.

If I were you, I’d post a topic like this on the destiny reddit. There’s too many shitters on the forums who suck ass at PVP and they’ll downvote anything that has to do with a return of Trials. Reddit has a lot more competent people.

6 RepliesSadly, Trials can't return, for one simple reason: it's already here. Trials was, in the end, PvP with no restrictions on who battled who. Scrubs got stomped, sweats got flawless streaks. Since there's no restrictions on who battles who in general PvP, Trials is now universal.

1 ReplyToO needs to come back with some tweaks to the original format. 1. If and when it happens, Bungie needs to release several symmetrical maps that are used for trials specifically. Osiris knows how to use the infinite forest so there's your reason how. Trials should be based on skill and coordination, not which team got the lucky spawn first. 2. It needs to be 3v3 elimination like it always was. If you want my opinion on quickplay and competitive too, competitive should only be clash and survival. Everything else(mayhem, control, domination, the attack and defend with the bomb, and clash as well) should stay in quickplay. 3. Every week, just like with the prestige raid lairs and the arsenal modifiers, a specific set of weapon types must be used that week. Example: Primary: Scout rifles Energy: SMGs Heavy: Rocket launcher This ensures everyone is on equal ground and the meta changes every week making skill and coordination the focus points of the match. As an added bonus, Bungie should release the weekly weapon requirements of the next week when they release the TWAB article. Doing so allows everyone interested in Trials a 1 week buffer to farm or re-aquire, then infuse up to max light whatever weapons they wish to use that week. If anyone wishes to add to this list or suggest a change, feel free to. Hopefully someone at bungie see this.

2 RepliesI’m not a serious competitive player...I like PvP but I’ll never be sweaty for it...just not me, however, I do think Trials should come back. PvP players deserve a place comparable to PvE end game and Trials is that end game. I hope they bring it back for you guys!

Of course you will only get 200 people to buy the game but Awesome Idea.
