Exotic drop rate is -blam!-ing horrible.
Fed up with grinding all my powerfuls on tuesday to not get anything but pos purple and the occasional year 1 exotic duplicate. At this rate i can't wait till anthem comes out.

I know a couple people who maybe play only a couple hours a week who have most of the exotics already. I can’t wait for anthem to come out either, so people like you will go away and play it. Edit: Before you say “I’ve played everyday since launch of forsaken”, I don’t wanna hear you’ve got nothing unless you’ve completed: -The flashpoint - Daily Heroic (each time it’s available during the week) -3 strikes -All weekly missions -Nightfall normal and 100k -5 crucible Matches -3 gambit matches -Weekly Gambit Bounty -Dreaming City Bounties (Ascendant Challenge, 7 daily bounties, blind well completions, heroic mission, completing the 2 weekly) -Spider’s Powerful Bounty -Ikoras Weekly -Clan Weekly -Now the Black Armory Weapons along with Ada Weekly -Raids -Whatever the daily Milestone is for that day And I’m sure I’m missing some because there are too many to name. Don’t forget to use a medallion every time too.

They want people to play as long and as much as possible whether you enjoy it or not. They want you to.chase the carrot. It's ALL so you stick around longer to see Eververse and hope to god you buy something with Silver. The longer you're on, the better the chances of you spending a few bucks and sticking around to buy the next garbage "expansion" or "pass". It's a damn scam. If they let you finish everything in a reasonable amount of time, you wouldn't play as much and certainly wouldn't spend extra cash in the game...duh. BUNGIE are the worst scammers ever and will say anything to keep you playing or purchasing. "See that mountain over there, you can go there!" "Throw money at the screen" "we're adding this and fixing that" lol. They're JUST as bad as drug dealers keeping you hooked by any shady means necessary. But we all need out Sci Fi shooter fix so we keep playing until a better one knocks them out of the water and the gravy train stops. Then they'll wish they didn't treat thier customers like shit.

1 ReplyDrop rates for everything suck ass. I’ve done 93 gofannon forges and can’t get the completion emblem to drop, let alone any exotics. I think we need to be streamers or youtubers to get any good drops.

They turned the drop rate up a smidge in Black Armory, or at least it feels that way. I think it's the opposite, I think the drop rate is too high right now. I got 4 exotics in 1 week so far, I think that is way too much. The only reason vanila Destiny 2 sucked ass pre Forsaken is because whiny babies like you complain and complain that they want, they want, they want all this stuff for little to NO effort at all, so Bungie decides they want to fudge the game up and give the kids what they want because these kids want to experience the whole RPG nature of the game in maybe 15 Hours total gameplay time. In true fact, ([i]truth hurts[/i]) the drop rate is [b]too high[/b]. For players of your nature, your skill level, and your expertise, you should only be getting an exotic drop maybe if you are lucky 1exotic every 2 weeks. That my fellow guardians is a "Meaningful Drop-Rate". Ya, it might suck not having all these exotics to play with for a while but, you know what, who really cares. When I get an exotic I dont have I want to be like "No flippin way, lets go, jumping up and down with joy". They only way to make that possible if kids who play this game dont cry and say "I have grinded all the weekly challenges and I still don't have All the exotics yet, I've been grinding for like 2 weeks now and I should have all the exotics. I want to be guaranteed an exotic drop from 50% of the powerful gear drops. What is going on? Bungie give me 1000 Voices for completing the raid." What I want is a million Dollars but I most likely wont tget that any time soon. This is the end of my triggered rant.

21 RepliesWhat's bad is that the drop rate is purposely adjusted to account for how much a person plays. I have to wonder if there are moral implications to what they do, from an industry standard point of view. Is it fair to make things drop less often for people who play more? Is it common practice or are they pushing some scummy boundaries? I think it sucks, but I don't know if it's commonplace.

I came back to D2 two and a half weeks ago after an 8 month break. Before my break, I was tired of ALWAYS getting exotics to the point where I felt they were being fed to us (not including the excess amount of duplicates) I ended up with most of them and feeling burnt out because i didn't have a whole lot to grind for. Since I have come back to D2 a few weeks ago, I have found the following (not including the ones from questslines): Ophidias Spathe, Fr0st-EE5, The Sixth Coyote, Queenbreaker and Two Tailed Fox.

this is what happens when they take Cayde away. Not only was the most liked character he was always the only one to kindly and often reward me with Exotics for Milestones. Interestingly enough I can't recall a single Exotic from a Milestone with Forsaken. I understand we were given Exotics too freely in vanilla D2 but this is a bit ridiculous. though my luck overall has been pretty decent on my Warlock so I can't complain too much.

10 duplicates in a row! 10!!!!! Only 2 of those were armor! Bungie not only stated that RNG would favor exotics you don't have, it would also favor ARMOR over weapons! (For the random rolls). Out of TEN duplicates in a row, only TWO were armor pieces? Really? Either they lied or I'm just horribly unlucky. I'm STILL missing two Forsaken Warlock ARMOR pieces and all I keep getting is year 1 WEAPONS. That hardly sounds fixed to me. 😑😑😑

2 RepliesI feel your pain. I've given up on exotics. In fact, I'm tired of most of the grindy quests and can't be bothered to do them. This morning, instead of playing D2, I brought my 9 to the range and spent time shooting targets in real life. It felt so good. Now I'm completely relaxed, and I can log in and poke around and do the odd bounty and I don't care. I don't know what point I'm trying to make here, but I hope your exotic luck turns around for the better.
