To fill in anyone who may not know Bungie recently revealed the charge rate masterwork on fusions actually decreases damage. My question is why? I don’t think this is at all needed. What other masterwork on any other weapon type has a trade off to stats? it’s not like fusions they are running rampant and need to kept in check, Tolesto excluded.

No need to masterwork... i mean, enhance

8 RepliesIt would be great to have a masterwork that decreases charge time and also didn't affect impact. But if this is anything like Accelerated Coils, the decreased Impact has no affect on the bolts to kill requirement in pvp. So it will realistically be a net gain in your favor. You essentially gain Accelerated Coils and still have two other magazine options such as Particle Repeater or Projection Fuse to shoot for instead.

1 ReplyShhh. To fix your concerns, they are going to add trade offs for all masterworks.

That’s just awful. But whatever I’ve got a back up plan
get it
8 RepliesEdited by piratepatchy243: 12/6/2018 2:25:48 PMProbably because how said perks work on that weapon type, charge rate and impact go up or down depending on which one you change. It's a shame the masterwork is the same way, but I'd honestly rather have range or stability. I've used fusions for so long the charge rate hardly matters, impact and grouping is far more important.

4 RepliesMaybe it will not be so bad. Imagine this: they nerf impact by 10percent, okay that’s horrible right? But I think it’s not and why?...because lower charge rate means more bullets down range which means more outgoing damage. It’s like okay, my fusion bullet now only hits at 90 percent but now, there’s “two” 90percents shooting out of my fusion rifle, versus one bullet at 100 percent. But we can just all wait and see how it all turns out. Nice post. Have nice day. 👍🤔

4 RepliesEdited by Zuper Greek: 12/6/2018 5:51:34 AMIf I remember, Accelerated Coils in Destiny 1 also reduced the impact slightly. The reason they do this is for balance reasons. Otherwise max impact fusions would literally just charge pretty quickly with no downside. It would be giving Accelerated Coils for free with no tradeoff. That sounds cool but in practice I can tell you that would not be fun for anyone else.

19 RepliesAgreed. If an AR has range for a masterwork, it doesn't lose impact or stability. It just gets more range.

Incase you didn’t notice, this is how Bungie is fixing things. Wardens Law HC wasn’t working right, so they just removed the perk. Oath keeper wasn’t decreasing draw speed, so they just remove the text from them and now fusions. Probably didn’t want to spend time on it so they just left it.
