Remove exotic items already received through exotic quests from the loot pool.
Bungie, please remove exotic items you’ve already received from exotic quests from the loot pool.
I’m fully aware that you can receive the same exotic twice. Now that’s fine for exotics that are only acquired through RNG. However, what sense does it make to add exotics you’ve already done a specific quest for?
The only thing this does is add more exotics to the list of possible exotics that I can receive as a reward. Thus lowering my chances of receiving new exotics I have not yet acquired.

10 RepliesGot a question, are there random rolls on the exotics? If so, removing them from the loot table is not really a good idea, but the duplicates could be reduced.

My buddy at work said he still hasn't gotten his 1st one to drop. *edit* 2 days later and still no 2nd exotic drop. I'll keep the community posted if that 2nd one does happen.

Such a stupid move to make exotic grind even more grindier. I don't mind the drop rates, but keep those quest exotics away from the drop pool. It's hard enough to get a Forsaken Exotic.

At the current rate I see me getting 2-3 non quest exotics till the release of D3 (of the 20 new). Thanks to all the crazy out there and their "exotics should be rare".

Yeah that sucks I’ve now had 3 exotics drop the past few weeks 2 more aces of spades and another tractor canon. I don’t want the same damn exotics I’ve been getting since year one I want the new ones . This situation once again proves that bungie is the king of -blam!- you trolling.

After 10 keys (9 Raid completions) still no thousand voices. After 35+ Exo drops i got one new Exo (the swords) that´s it. When i farmed the Escalation shotgun (Ikelos) it took me 51 tries to get it. Is my Account cursed by bungie or something? (PSN Entro343) I´m about to delete that shit :D

Don’t stop there. Remove all the old trash we have already received 50 times. New expansion, new exotics, so let us -blam!-ing play with them.

4 RepliesI think its a good idea since you could get an updated version of weapons you already got before. For example say you are 580 and don't want to infuse up a Whisper Of The Worm and then you get a WOTW Drop for you thats great as you just saved potentially 3 masterwork cores.

Maybe increase the chance. but should not be a check box system. Or every exotic could have a difficult quest. Then it's on you. But I'm sure we would complain about that to. edit: spelling

26 RepliesRemoving exotics you already own from the exotic engram loot pool has got to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen someone think of on this app. You are literally asking Bungie to remove reasons to keep playing and grinding. What happens if they do this and eventually you get all the exotics you want, or even just get all the exotics. Then you get your god roll bygones or god roll trust. Now suddenly you have nothing left to grind for and you get bored. What happens when you get bored? You stop playing.

2 RepliesI did the heroic adventure on mercury and got an exotic for completing it! Yay. Exotic boots already in my vault. Peacekeepers. Oh hooray. RNG then used these boots to kick me in the nuts, because they dropped at a lower light levels than my existing boots.

4 RepliesI don’t mind it, especially if it drops at a higher level. If it’s not something I want to use I can be there in a few years it or break it down the park. I don’t think it’s that bad but I do understand where you’re coming from.
