Does like 100 to the body in pvp and you can pick it back up. Don’t know why you’d use it in pvp when you have shoulder charge one shots, but still. I think Throwing Knives need a buff. They don’t necessarily have to be a one shot, but getting a headshot with a knife should be rewarded since it actually takes some skill to do. Also the new subclasses Knife Trick don’t burn Guardians in pvp sometimes, so not really sure what that’s about.

IRL id rather have a knife thrown at me tbh

As a hunter main i must say that our puny knives dont stack up to the big burly manly man hammers of the titans.. NOT JUST THAT BUT I THINK IT CAN OHK IF LEFT ON THE GROUND. THE LITTLE FKER EXPLODED ON ME ONE TIME WHILE I WAS SNIPING SOMEONE!

Coming from a titan main I agree

A buff to throwing knife would be fine, just not a one hit kill as some would suggest. As for the fan of knives, the burn effect not activating is something I have seen in PvE as well, so it might just be a general bug with the ability. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, it is rather annoying.

Edited by Dano2point0: 9/11/2018 7:00:34 PMIsn't it obvious? Because Bungie wanted to piss off every last Hunter by giving Titans an effective ranged melee.

Because shoulder charge isn't always as useful as people like to hype it up to be. It's powerful indeed, but not always going to net you kills. As for the throwing hammer, it, much like throwing knife, is good because it's safe. There's no real punish for missing other than missing. You won't lose your life like you would with shoulder charge. As for the hammer itself, yeah it's good and it's a great ability, but like throwing knife, if you miss or die after throwing it, the ability to pick it up disappears. It's a good way to keep pushing that aggressive playstyle that titans have because you WANT to pick it back up. You could probably even camp a titans hammer after they throw it because they want it and just kill them. Titans are greedy. As for throwing knife, I definitely believe a damage buff is fine as long as it doesn't one-shot. 150 damage to head is perfectly reasonable.

Yeah throwing knives need a buff.

Cause Titans are the shit and Hunters can suck it.

2 RepliesOnly if Warlocks get our ranged melee back....
-
6 RepliesIt can one shot with synthoceps and be picked back up and 1 shot again. But hunters can’t get a 158 throwing knife to the head.
-
6 RepliesPlease shut up about throwing knives already. Boo Hoo it isn't a one shot and it is unfair titans get a OHK shoulders. Either though shoulders have terrible hit detection. Not every class needs the same thing you know.
-
It only becomes better once you have the subclass buff active allowing for OHK's. Knives are not hard to come by in pvp at all due to a dodge giving it back and several exotics that either play around using dodge often or knives directly. Hammers can't crit either. So from a general gunplay standpoint knives are better because most HC's can crit once and follow up with a knife crit for the kill. The things hammers have over knives is the OHK potential (good luck getting that consistently) and the health regen on pick up. But that's IF you hit someone and IF you can retrieve it. That being said I wouldn't mind a small bump to body damage or a small bump to crit damage. But it's not really needed with the new TTK's in pvp.

Never bring a knife to a hammer fight
-
Wtf stop taking them shrooms there is no tracking on throwing knifes. Nothing needs to be buffed just make it so Titan can’t pick hammer up after throwing it!!
-
12 RepliesThrowing knifes have tracking though
-
Do you really gotta bring this up now? Don't let someone's hammer bother you over a knife
-
3 RepliesBecause one of them is a dinky little knife and the other one is a mystical hammer forged in an impossible machine on Mercury that harnesses the very fabric of reality to channel the power of the sun.
-
4 RepliesI think every class should have a OHK melee ability. Buff Throwing Knives.

Honestly feel the same. I'd rather just use knife trick because it feels better. Bas throwing knife kinda blows. I'd rather passively be given two of them or be able to pick them up as well.
