Heads up on Solstice for non raiders
Just to let you know ahead of time, the chest upgrade for solstice armor is only available in prestige raid. Not sure what bungies deal is with this activity. They did the same with non raid weapon catalysts telesto and sleeper. This won't make people raid. Wake up bungie........

Well, this is bungie's game. If they want to lock something behind the raid, they have every right. Where did this attitude come from where everyone feels like they DESERVE to have this game catered to them? This is bungie's project, their brain child. They made this game, not you. If you don't like it, understandable. What do you expect? Bungie to shoot you an email saying "hey man, review the changes to this game and tell us what we should do from here to please you specifically." This new attitude is ridiculous. Destiny is not subscription based. If you felt cheated after the purchase of the base game, your brain should have sounded the "I'm dissatisfied" alarm and you should have avoided the purchase of any future content. Disappointments happen all the time in the world of consumerism. Man up, cut your losses, and move on.

5 RepliesI got the Telesto catalyst from the first chest in Eater of Worlds last night. Getting the first 2 chests in EoW is not much more difficult than normal mode. Also, all drops are at 380. All engrams, armor, weapons (until you clear the entire lair - only the last chest drops 400 weapons). What this means is that you all can do Castellum in Leviathan and the first couple chests in each lair without it being much more difficult than running the regular raids and still have chances for the catalyst drops. As for 400 level weapons - they do you no good right now, and as soon as Forsaken drops you'll be getting 400 blue weapons by the end of the first day.

Vanilla D2 and Fort Night killed my clan. No trials. No Raids other than normal leviathan under my belt. LFG is frustrating. I’m okay with not getting good stuff. Sucks, but I get it. It will be cool to see you high speed guys and streamers around the Tower though.

It sucks but it's something you guys just have to suck up and do. You have a month, make the most of it.

5 RepliesAlso I heard the raid requirements for the armour are for the masterwork set only so you can still get 400 armour without having to go into that call out fest mario brothers puzzle fiesta :)

The raid is an endgame activity. There have to be somethings that make the raid endgame.

Right now all that is available from the prestige raid is cosmetic. I've wanted something useful. I have wanted something that could give me an advantage. Something that could set me apart, other than shiny armour. Thank you Bungie, for listening AND acting.

For the entirety of destiny I have pretty much only ran raids using LFG. 5 different people every week. The only excuse to be a non raider is simply that you do not want to do the raid. Age Of Triumphs is meant to celebrate ALL the achievements of guardians through Destiny 1. That includes the prestige raid which is the pinnacle end game activity. Go ahead and downvote me and tell me im some kind of elitist or whatever. If youre not completing the objectives for the masterwork gear you don't deserve it.

I just play for the story and then do a few strikes or crucibles here and there. I honestly don't care about raising.

The final upgrade for the gauntlets requires you to be in a clan, so maybe raiding for the chest upgrade won't be so bad. I think the amount of crucible required is going to cause a bigger stink.

That’s really poopy I do t really like the raids, kinda bummed I can’t fully upgrade the gear. I won’t get a raid team as I’ve only ran the raid a few times as it doesn’t appeal to me, as for the requirements on lfg, I’m screwed. I have not got the emblem. P.S - stop forcing me into things bungie, at least groom me first don’t go straight in with the molesting.

1 ReplyI love the telesto, one of my favorite weapons. Sucks I have to raid to get it, haven't raided in Destiny 2, this catalyst isn't going to change that. Imagine a catalyst based on completing a 7 win trials card. If the weapon isn't earned in that area it just makes no sense.

17 RepliesI'll admit, this has me extremely disappointed. When i seen the Armor for this event i was excited thinking we're finally getting cool looking armor that wasn't tied to doing a raid. I understand that if you want the best flashiest looking gear that the raid is where it's at. It's there to show you busted your ass to get it But........not every cool looking set or pieces of a set should be tied to Raids. This is highly disappointing considering that most of the gear in Destiny 2 so far looks mediocre-at-best now we finally get some really cool looking gear from a new event that makes our Guardian look like a badass and a piece of it is tied to a raid forcing us to play a raid if we want it .I beat a raid once and never played it again. Thanks again Bungie for making my excitement plummet once again......

It’s only for the masterwork so Im fine with it. It may also incentivize me to actually do the raid.
