Heads up on Solstice for non raiders
Just to let you know ahead of time, the chest upgrade for solstice armor is only available in prestige raid. Not sure what bungies deal is with this activity. They did the same with non raid weapon catalysts telesto and sleeper. This won't make people raid. Wake up bungie........

I'm a self-certified sherpa and guarantee raid carries. I have about 3 normal completions and zero prestige. Did I mention I'm certified? 🙃

10 RepliesSo you think you are ‘entitled’ to everything even if you don’t do everything? I want the Redrix but will never be good enough, the crucible ornament with sniper kills, never going to happen and I’m fine with that. Kids these days and their ENTITLED attitude. Pfffft.

No it won’t, but if your a true hard core player you will have the full set. So I’m happy it’s this way, so not everyone is wearing it.

For me is the crucible Legend rank, Im a pvp guy, it was the main reason I got into d1 and d2. I was okay with the start D2 meta but once the added the got fast update which turned crucible into camp heavy simulator 2018 makes me not want to play it at all. Its a shame I was really looking forward to getting this armor.

I raid but haven’t done prestige yet and i want that armor, so i guess this is a good reason to do it now

You can still get it to 400 outside of the Raid. I see. Edit#2: Sounding to me now that the Solstice of Heroes boots, gauntlets, helmet and class item is 400 but that the chest drops at 340 and you must complete a Prestige Raid or Lair in order to get the chest armor to 400... not sure though....

If you hate the people on LFG there are enough people complaining in this post to create a team of like minded players to enter the raid. There ya go, problem solved. You all stand united that you will never find a team or get it done, then send each other friend requests and organize a raid run knowing you all aren't that experienced. Now you have zero reason to attempt any raid and if you reply to this with one then you are all just lazy.

Good. I am glad they put things behind skill and ability walls. I chooose not to play trials, I could probably do allright with my clan but, it just doesn't interest us.. that said, if something was put behind it, we would do it if we felt the reward wwas something we wanted. Raiding and pve I love and those activities are great times to enjoy. If you don't want the item or can't be bothered with raiding, that is your choice and in life, your choice has consequences, the conseuence here is not haveing the ornament.

The raid weapons catalysts can drop from any chest in prestige after u complete a section, it’s not only on final boss kill completion . I got the Acrius catalyst after the first encounter I cleared last nite ( gauntlet) , so at least u don’t need a full completion to get it.

If anything that's going to make people raid LESS. This coming from someone who has run 698 raids, most of them full (not checkpoint) because I enjoy the activity. I HATED EOW Prestige yesterday and I am very angry with Bungie for doing this to raids!

15 RepliesHonestly. This makes me happy. I had literally no reason to do Prestige Raids before. This gives me a reason to do so (and no tacky gold versions of the Raid armor doesn’t count). Remember back in D1 where the only way to get certain guns and armor was to raid? And not just Raid but do the Hard Mode? This is the same. I swear some people just want to complain.

That they're incentivizing this, is to your benefit. If you're not trying it, you're missing out, big time. Also, yes, locking highly-sought after rewards in the prestige raid lairs WILL make ppl raid more.

I am 100% behind putting exclusive rewards behind every activity. I'm not so behind putting most of a reward behind casual solo content and then one part of it behind super hardcore group content. But I'm probably good on Destiny until Forsaken, so I don't think I'd get this stuff either way.
