Edit: yeah he's not coming back, Bungie confirmed it. Also Uldrin is now the most hated villain in Destiny history, so stop saying they shouldn't have killed off Cayde

2 RepliesI am working on a Cayde-6 theory that involves his interest with the Vault of Glass. Cayde might die in Forsaken but my theory would involve the Vanguard stumbling upon research Cayde was doing to go back in time to fix wrongs he made. Think about the journal pieces we have collected from Caydes Stash. Just a working theory but I want to be able to prove it with certainty.

16 RepliesI don't think uldren is a bad guy, probably premeditated with cayde-6 in order to achieve a certain goal. His ghost being shot casts doubt on this but we also have Rasputin and an awake Traveler who may be able to work around this. Also I would like to see if cayde uncovers some of his past, specificaly his son.

1 ReplyHe wont become Cayde-7.. for those who have no clue how exos and rebooting works. The only time a number in an Exos name changes is when their mind is rebooted. This doesnt fully erase memories either.. the more an exo is rebooted, the more memories they lose. Which is why Banshee barely remembers anything. I really hope Cayde isnt permanently dead...

Cayde can't die!!! wtf Bungie??? Cayde is the crown jewel of sarcasm, he was worth playing D2 at the beginning :( made me laugh a lot lol I was so hoping they would make a full DLC/Expansion around him since the Osirus dlc was so boring I fell asleep during the cut scenes :(

4 RepliesA. Doesn't make sense gameplay wise because they would have to replace or remove him from the tower for everyone including people with the dlc. B. Bungie "confirming" things doesn't amount to much since they've gone against there confirmations before. C. Doesn't make sense lorewise either as we control the place where exos were created thanks to Rasputin and Ana Bray. Also lore says exos can be repaired and rebooted dictated by the number next to their name.

I think if he was really dead forever they wouldn’t have spoiled that in the trailer.... and in the interview with IGN the first response to the question was “he looks dead”.... which they then changed to “he is dead”, but it was said in such a way that I felt there was a “but” implied by the tone

We can rebuild him, Osiris has the infinite forest vex tech and Rasputin appears to be an ally at this point. Even Shaxx could probably fix him up with some crucible frame parts.
