Edit: yeah he's not coming back, Bungie confirmed it. Also Uldrin is now the most hated villain in Destiny history, so stop saying they shouldn't have killed off Cayde

1 ReplyPsychologically speaking, the two Bungie dudes who said, "He's dead." are not the most comfortable people to ever be interviewed (they're geeky but still pretty likeable fellows). I mean the trailer was certainly created to entice a strong emotional response and to also make good on their promise that the new story is darker than anything seen before; but again psychologically speaking, these guys were so willing to *spoil* the truth about whether or not Cayde was truly dead that it is VERY obvious that there is a plot twist still up their sleeves. They want us all to be surprised. I have no idea in what form it will take but some how Cayde's memory core will be successfully transferred into something and perhaps not a new character but something that may lead, down-the-road (and think Destiny 3 here), to coming back as part of a future story, like a Ghost in the Machine sorta thing, maybe, or *echoes of Cayde* that show up from time-to-time to guide our path like a *Guardian* Angel.

I'm in full rage mode now. Any other NPC I'm completely fine with losing. Not Cayde though. I'd off Zavala and Shaxx myself for yelling in my ears for the past 4 years. Ikora is one crazy chick and I swore off of them since my last ex. IF YOU EVEN DRAW UP A MOCK STORY THAT KILLS OFF SWEEPERBOT I WILL RAIN FIERY HELL UPON ALL OF BUNGIE.
