Edit: yeah he's not coming back, Bungie confirmed it. Also Uldrin is now the most hated villain in Destiny history, so stop saying they shouldn't have killed off Cayde

I'm glad Cayde's gone. He went from being a cool roguish dude to a whiny marketing piece of garbage. I hope he doesn't have a single line of dialogue in this new expansion. Killing off Tess would have been a better move by Bungie.

1 ReplyThey said he was dead [i]in the trailer[/i].. It was not a confirmation. They were very vague and did not say he was permanently dead. Trailers are meant to be dramatic, and I am sure they were being vague for a reason.

3 RepliesBungie also confirmed that the tower was destoyed, Anna Bray was dead, Uldren died, and the Stranger story was finished and not to be spoken of again, well every single one of those things have came back. Tower was rebuilt, Anna kissed herself back to life, Uldren crashed on Mars and survived, and we heard more of the Stranger which connects her to being Anna Brays Sister. This all means that Cyade 6 is dead for good! What you think that I thought he would survive? No. When Bungie says they dead, they mean it. Now Cayde 7 on the other hand....

3 RepliesBungie confirmed he's dead for good. The same guys who have liked to us several times before on many things. Take what bungie says with a grain of salt. Cayde will most likely some how come back to life. I mean think about it the only way to fully kill a guardian is by destroying their ghost and draining it of it's light we only saw his ghost get shot. Sagira was shot and brought back why not caydes ghost? Plus also in case people have forgotten the traveler is awake. That opens a lot of roads of possibilities.

He's dead. No future Cayde's. That's not to say a shifty s.o.b. like Cayde couldn't have several illegal backups stashed away. I think there's a good chance we will see Cayde (0-5) again. He could even be stumbled upon, manipulated, and become a villian. (Like the red hood in batman.) How heartbreaking would it be, sent on official Vanguard business, to dispatch a villian... only to find out it's Cayde?
