What. The. Füčk?!? Really, Bungie? REALLY?!?
Between her and Saladin forgetting everything we did for and with them, that’s kinda shitty.
Not like we didn’t work super close with all parties involved in D1. Only saved their asses from god’s and technological threats in raids and quests about a million times, but hey, sure, whatever... Let’s just ignore all that. 😒

1 ReplyBungie should let allow veteran dialogue be an option when you create a character on PC. It drives me nuts being treated like some new kid after all the hard work I've done just because I wanted to switch to PC

Shows how much of a shambles the game is thanks to the management at Bungie. I've seen cats in rooms full of shiny objects have more focus.

2 RepliesYeah stuff like this coupled with acknowledgement of our guardian being the one played in D1 shows that the direction for the game was fairly unfocused. I have been wondering how much of that is due to ratings. Not trying to say I want an M game because I feel emasculated like most tend to. I just want the narrative to not be compromised or feel restrained.

3 RepliesI think Bungie is confused about the direction this game is going themselves. They gave Ikora that line so they can hype up Eris Morn’s return in a future dlc; just like D2 and the March Update was hyped up.

3 RepliesIt might be because you’re on a new character. Any character created in D2 and not imported will have the dialogue like you haven’t done anything. I kept my warlock from D1 and haven’t heard them say this yet.

4 RepliesShe says different things depending on if the game detects you've played D1 or not. If you're on PC, it obviously can't detect if you've played D1 before since the accounts would be different.

10 RepliesShe said the same to me, a definite WTF moment, I mean it's not like we should be easy to forget and we did steal Erisi's ship and get it blown up. But it's the same in the EOW, at the end of follow my leader bit, Claus says to his cabal (not word for word) " leave them alone, we have not met this guardian before". Errrrr yes you have, 10mins ago when I wrecked your carnival games chopped up your pets and blew up your robot toy! Really bad memory has old Calus.

3 RepliesD2 is the cut content from before D1. It shouldn't be a surprise Bungie didn't update the NPC dialogue to match the current timeline. Just think, in an alternate universe those b@stards are still enjoying D1 (aka D3 the combination of D1 and D2).

1 ReplyFurther proof that Bungie was more concerned about new players than their loyal fan base. The good news is that the only mistake that Luke Smith has kind of admitted to was abandoning the hardcore fans in favor of focusing on bringing in new players that never played D1. To hear that dude ‘fess up to his colossal mistakes would be a suitable endgame.

Shattered Atheon and the Vault of Glass. Turned Crota’s own sword on him and climbed out of his pit of darkness. Tamed Skolas and quelled his renegades in the Prison of Elders. Laid waste to The Taken King and destroyed his ethereal army of darkness. Contained SIVA and put an end to its technological plague. Became and surpassed the greatness of the Iron Lords. Delivered salvation to the Last City. I have become Legend. WTF did everyone forget all that!!!!!

Did you create a new character? If you created a new character, D2 talks to you like you're new. If you choose to keep your D1 character, D2 talks to you like you were in D1. Sounds like you made a new character.
