Destiny 1 is in the lead. Nearly double.
Personally. I like D1 PVP much better. It just seems that they are trying to make this game competitive. . . . Longer TTK ...Grenades nerfed...Certain supers are also underwhelming etc etc etc. You just feel less powerful overall compared to D1. Which is fine, its a " new game " I get it. But that was the magic of D1. In a game that's catering towards the masses of " Casual " players, it seems silly to make everything so underwhelming compared to D1. The game will never be balanced or competitive unless everyone is on the same playing field and that will never happen. So instead of trying to make this a competitive shooter. Stick to what its already done so well. Having fun, social interaction, powerful weapons that mean something, gear that means something ( #wherearemyperks #30fps.

Year 1 & 2 were much more fun than this mess

D2 leaves no room for individual skill, it's all a grouping, camping teamshoot fest lol No more individual plays pushing a team towards victory. Time to kill is half a second too long across the board. Special ability skills also promote camping. It's a hollow game mode. I want 6v6 rift!!

2 RepliesD1 6V6 was badass talk about chaos in its finest supers flying bullets flying grenades everywhere now mayhem was FUN AF more of everything going around fists of havoc hammers f u c k i n g goldes mercing ppl ah the good ol days

7 RepliesEdited by Firestorm 8570: 9/28/2017 12:26:18 PMI've had my say on this in many other posts so i'll simply put it this way. In D1 you feel like THE Guardian - an all powerful armored space magician who decimates all who come before you. In D2 you feel like A guardian - just the same as everyone else.

3 RepliesI'll be 100% honest here. D2 PVP is catered towards casual players. D2 as a whole is catered towards more casuals. As a hardcore destiny fan this disappoints me. I really wanted to get good and stay at the top with PVP. With the reduction in Fusions, Snipers, and Shotguns Bungie has really emphasized primary gun battles and this has allowed for more focus on team play rather than individual skill. It's good in its own sense ,but it falls short for the hardcore pvpers. I'll still keep playing but once something else catches my attention I may be gone.

3 RepliesGeeze after all the outcries to nerf the shotgun, nerf the sniper, nerf the fusion rifle, nerf the melee, nerf the grenades, we get D2 and most liked it better in D1. That's awfully telling.

D1. D2 crucible is a joke.

Honestly D2 is making me hate PvP. I'd rather have the cancer that was d1 thorn/tlw/hawkmoon meta than D2 right now. Atleast D1 was fun and rewarded skill. Not like d1 where it's team shoot or kill 1 guy and he's back in the fight before you kill his friend because the ttk is so long. As previous posts said the guns and armor are just bland as far as perks. They went safe with d2 and got boring because of it.
-
2 RepliesDestiny 1 you can lone wolf it with skill. Destiny 2 it's impossible.....The team shots are soooo real.. I mean I walk around the corner to fight 1 guy and bam 3 more come to his aid.. so seriously not making this up. About 75% of the time it's a 1vs4 scenario. Destiny 1 had it right.

2 RepliesEdited by Mercy: 9/28/2017 7:33:19 PM
Can we please have private matches and the ability to choose what game mode we want. I think the majority will be happy with these very easy changes.
D1. Wayyy better. D2 is a butt humping team shotting travesty covered in hot trash, with slower movement, slower ttk, and literally impossible to win a 2v1 gunfight, Grenades do 90 damage even under a dudes ballsack and between his feet, the 4v4 locked game modes with no choice as to what we play is aids, slower grenade charges(like they even matter) 1 super a game, the fact you can't run solo and do well is hideously annoying to me. Most of all there is no individual skill in my opinion, it is literally team shot or get trashed. I was a 1.2 to 1.4 across my characters in d1, and in this game I can't go positive to save my life. There aren't teams any more there are hordes of 4 players vs 4 players generally or 2v2v2v2 and it's so shitty. I hate The crucible in d2 and honestly that's the section of the game w the most replay value imo. Disappointed. Edit:static rolls suck also. And raid gear is pointless aside from aesthetics. No perks specifically for the raid.

Booted up D2, sat in orbit for a bit as there was nothing left to grind for. Looked at pvp and thought 'I'd rather guide my father into my mother'. Booted up D1, had a blast in zone control. If the game feels hard rather than fun, then I think that says a lot more about the game.
-
2 RepliesI'd take D1 in the state it's in now than D2.
-
I said this after the beta and was promptly told I had no skill... ok. It was never about skill. It was about having fun. You know what's not fun? Crucible matches going full time limit.
-
With the drastic metta changes i couldn't just vote on D1 or D2. Currently D2 is way better than D1 IMO. But year 1 D1 was the best game ever made PvP wise. I could play that game for tens of hours at a time and not get bored because it was just really fun and enjoyable to play. D2 is might be mechanically better (even though my favorite weapons, handcannons, are literally terrible and useless), however it is pretty boring to play, gunfights take forever, getting triple and quad laned is annoying and frustrating, etc. I just wish I could play year 1 destiny PVP again :(

D1 Crucible was a ton more fun than D2's. Hands down. Was it more competitive or balanced? Nope! But... A crap ton more fun.
-
third option they were both annoying trash pvp modes
-
1 ReplyWhich D1 meta though
-
12 RepliesI didn't realize so many people enjoyed sticky nades, wombo combos, & being coerced into using sidearms.
-
3 RepliesI'd rather watch Sharknado for 10 hrs over stepping foot into D2 crucible!
-
1 ReplyNot to forget the lag in D2
-
House of wolves destiny 1 pop yes ttk and on no Destiny beta pvp yes Destiny 2 post mida return no
-
3 RepliesI think people are forgetting what destiny 1 pvp was like
-
2 RepliesThey are miles apart. D1, despite any flaws it had, was light years more fun than what we have now. 4v4 with slow ttk and neutered grenades etc is about as bland as it gets. Want to flank or push out on your own....good f'n luck....you're about to get team shot 11 times out of 10. 4v4 can have its place but if you want the majority to stick around and actually play the pvp youre going to need 6v6 with a faster ttk etc etc.

Destiny 1 for sure. Better gear, better weapons, more access to abilities, less predictable, more CHOICES, etc. It's no comparison for me. Ironically, D1 felt like a more level playing field than D2. Unless you have that fireteam with your buddies, you are going to be at a disadvantage. I loved grinding for that perfect roll for a lot of weapons. Not in D2. What's the incentive for me to grind away at the Crucible? It's fixed rolls for mundane gear. What is there to win? For K/D ratios? No thanks. I'm only this borefest when it's for Call to Arms or quests. Hopefully, the Iron Banner will be good enough to garner some interest for me. The gear better be good looking at least. That's all that we seem to have to play for in D2.

13 RepliesD2 crucible so far is balanced. Gotta play smarter.
