If hunters are about agility, stealth, and speed, how is it that a Titan is faster than a hunter?
Like seriously, a class that is all about armor and being the slower tank of the group is faster than the class that is all about agility and speed and being the "ninja" or "assassin" of the group. Hunters sacrifice armor for speed and agility... Titans are SUPPOSED to sacrifice speed for armor... but if that's true then how in the world is the Titan able to outrun the fastest and most agile class in the game?
Edit: I didn't even notice this was trending lol, just keeps the arguments level headed and civil please, fighting is lame, be civil

This horse you guys been kicking the past few years . . . Yea turns out it's a skeleton you can stop kicking now.

Edited by PvtBadass98: 5/18/2017 12:34:57 PMNothing about what the classes should do was established in the lore. Nothing about Titans being tanks or hunters being fast. It did establish that Titans defend people at all costs, and hunters are loners, doing everything by themselves. This connection between Titans being tanks and hunters being fast was established by fans basing it off the classes stats which in fact do very little.

Edited by Mnkke: 5/15/2017 11:36:01 PMWell your wrong and right. A Titan is faster in a straight line and if they are Striker they cannot shoot so they can use SC, so it's not even a good situation for them sometimes. And hunters are about quick lateral movements, not being the fastest in the game. They are stealthy and have great jumps and shadestep for evades and lateral movements. And they're faster than titans if the path isn't in a straight line Edit: and I actually do like how you wanted arguments to be civil etc. always nice to see something like that on the forums.

11 RepliesBecause no one likes Hunters. Even people who main a Hunter just feel dirty for doing so. Deep down they know that running around with Tethers, Golden Guns, and Blade Prancers is shameful. It reflects poorly on not only themselves, but also on their family and loved ones. Their is a lot of speculation that Cayde is looking at switching his character class. In one specific Destiny 2 photo that has been released, Cayde can be seen with an open book. A source at Bungie has mentioned that it's a Warlock spell book and Cayde is trying to pass one of the first Warlock exams so he doesn't have to continue living in shame. Sorry, the truth stings sometimes. Late

Well...if 90% of your abilities were focused on close range over long range...shouldn't you move faster? Titan melee literally used to be the worst melee in the game, hunters without charged melees were better than a Titans and thats pathetic. They are literally supposed to be the shock trooper that rush in to get themselves killed, which is why they have so many suicide style abilities (shoulder charge, juggernaut, forcebarrier) and a lot of their grenades are control or radial damage, no tracking nades (I mean like axion bolts and skips) and that is fine. As a Titan main, I think it's fair to say an ape with a jet packs gonna move "faster" than a skinny child using their moon shoes.

Titans are like Football players. They have to be fast AND take a lot of damage, but they aren't all that agile. Of course, some of that depends on the position they play, but in general. Oh. And stop crying.

Speed and agility are not the same. You should start learning the difference. It may change the way you use your hunter.

Sucks to be you lol
It's all about perks you choose, stop whining
1 ReplyWhen you're a Focused Floof warlock and can stay out of this ridiculous arguement.

5 RepliesTitans are the fastest at moving in a straight line. Hunters are the fastest at rapidly changing directions in the air. I don't know about you, but I'm much more afraid of the guy who is unpredictable.
-
1 ReplyTitans are faster in a straight line while Hunters are easily the most agile class. Hunters sacrifice armor and recovery for agility, not speed. Titans sacrifice agility and recovery for armor, not speed. Warlocks sacrifice armor and agility for recovery, not speed. It's not about speed.
-
5 RepliesFirst of all, there is no tank class. There is no tanking. Second, hunters and titans can both have high armor and agility. Third, hunters have much better options for mobility. Titan skating only moves them fast in a straight line. Fourth, you're coming off dumb and whiney.

Comparing hunters to Titans is like comparing a Ferrari to a bullet train. Only one of them has maneuverability. Which one do you think will be able to dodge more shots?
-
Every class has the same healthpool too, which makes it even more confusing. Armor does effect your total health, but not in the way that it should. Titans should be tanks, with massive healthpools and minor speed, with hunters being fast as hell and probably pretty squishy. Warlocks should be a nice balance of the two. (Imo)

This has been debated for years now

6 RepliesI've literally been copying and pasting this.
Titans aren't even supposed to move as quick as they do. That's confirmed because Bungie changed catapult. So to clear it up, titans aren't supposed to be agile or fast (except striker), assuming a load out with no exotics. People say, "titans aren't agile, and there's a difference between agility and speed". I know what the difference is. Titans can be way more agile if you slide after landing from skating fast or if you redirect your momentum. Then of course, you can start skating immediately after that. This only works if youre a fast skater and you have good timing. Titans aren't more agile vertical ways, but they are way more agile horizontal ways if you know what you're doing. You can also mash the jump button backwards or to the sides, but once again, you have to be quick for it to work.
1 ReplyLet me equate them to characters from another game: Mario kart. Titans are like Bowser - great in a straight line but can't turn easily when they start moving. Hunters are like Toad - not much power under the hood but can apply there max power easily in tight corners.
-
ignoring agility stat through skating circumvents having to sacrifice one of the three stats, this is the problem. forget comparing hunter to titan. its pretty irrelevant compared to the real issue of being able to spec to have no notable weakness (comparative to either of the other 2 classes).

51 RepliesBungie hates the hunter class.

Because
Titan master race
-
Bungie never intended Titans to skate, that being said they're not as agile as a hunter. This isn't a conventional RPG where you have a tank, mage, and rogue if you will, yet some how we get on with the game, see a Titan skating above us, and go whatever.
-
6 RepliesWhy are people still complaining about this? Titans are faster in a straight line, but Hunters are much more agile...which means they are harder to hit.

5 RepliesAll I read was wwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwahwahhhwaaahhhhwahhhhhwwwwwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhhh [Wah]

1 ReplyI think Bungie didn't expect people to Titan skate. If you don't, Titans aren't that fast. I do think they unintentionally mish mashed the classes. Sometimes Warlocks can be super tanks. I'm assuming that's why we are going to lose the subclasses. It's not just an earning mechanism but I think they will be reworked if not entirely new.

*Looks at shotgun* Well what the -blam!- am I supposed to do with this if I'm slower than everyone else?

8 RepliesAm I the only one wonder why hunters can have high armor AND agility? Doesn't make to much sense to me
