New Meta: Thoughts
I've been playing a bit and I adore this meta. There is no shortage of special at all like people thought. There's more primary gun play and everything seems viable. I was killing it with my red death AND suros with the slow fire rate. Any thoughts, guardians?
EDIT: Nevermind. This meta is shitty. I was just loving the lack of shotguns. Then I discovered that they broke the game. Great job!
EDIT 2: The meta is great actually. I'm seeing guns I haven't seen in MONTHS. They just need to revert the stupid nerfs and buff EXOTICS. No need to buff an entire class of weapons. Just buff exotics to make them feel actually exotic. It's sad when blues with good rolls are better than exotics. My faith is running low bungie. Everyone else's is too.

4 RepliesI am enjoying it, it's nice not dying every other second to snipers, plus it's nice seeing a wider range of primaries used, though I am seeing less scout rifles sadly. That being said they did go overboard with the nerfs, but at least it's not as retarded as some people on the forums and streamers were making it out to be.

1 ReplyEverybody plays so passive. Played two games (both times I joined mid-match btw), both times the entire team was clumped up in one, crouching in corners and teamshotting. (I did almost literally get a team wipe with a sticky because of this. They were that close) It's fun now because we have a lovely combination of: 1) Everyone running sidearms 2) No one knowing how to use them This meta is going to suck pretty bad once everyone gets used to it. Passive play style is already the norm after one day and it's only going to get worse from here. There were some glimmering pictures of primary battles, but then again, I saw a lot of 6 chickens camping corners either with Ice Breaker, teamshot primaries, or both. It's nice not seeing Matador and Clever Dragon everywhere (and I actually had a lot of fun dusting the old Suros off) but I think this meta will wear out its welcome a lot quicker than the last one did.

Its fine. I was killed only twice by a shotty in like 8 games. Sidearms are dominating but I don't mind. Also, Palindrome is an absolute beast now with that change to hand canons. I just don't get why they still fckd autos, because they're still underwhelming. And literally no exotic weapon buff? I mean, wtf?

6 RepliesNothing is broken. Sidearms are performing a little too well, but that's about it. I'd say there's definitely some lackluster weapons in the game, but overall it's not too bad. It really doesn't feel much different. That's is.......until you try out Parthian shot for the first time.

1 ReplyEdited by BRAZACK: 2/15/2017 2:53:28 AMhcs always seem to get the short end of the stick. this new patch really screwed them up. im surprised nobody is talking about it yet. they didnt need a range nerf. the only thing the dumbass dev team needed to do was adjust bloom so that it takes affect after 40 meters. that was the only change needed and fix hawkmoon's stability. they coulda adjusted the litc and holding aces perks to only do bonus damage on crits. this would have kept hawkmoon balanced. im not a game developer but i wish i could overlook/ talk to the jackass that keeps doing these weapon tunings.

I am punished when I play aggressive at all or want to make a push or hell even getting kills with my primary and then dying. Special ammo was not a problem go back to old ammo system

You know, I am an Universal Remote user and was disappointed to see that the mag was originally 5 and moved to 3. I was mad but then I realized that it wasn't as bad of a nerf others got, Universal still has that awesome range when aiming so, my guess is that a lot more people are going to use Universal Remote since Matador got obliterated. That is the problem with me, other Universal Remote users. Also, why pulse rifles? I get where Bungie is coming from nerfing them but why not just nerf only fast firing pulse rifles like clever dragon and the waltz. Just my opinion but leave hawksaw alone, that thing has taken a beating.

I was excited at first for the patch. Mainly for the buff to primaries. But instead it is a major nerf to everything else that seemed fine or things I have grown to love. (Truth, ophidium aspects, QuickDraw bladedancer, availability of special ammo. I shotgun and snipe. I was hopeing to use fusion at some point but.n Still no buffs to shitty perks
