After playing the For Honor beta I was sold (nothing you can say will change that). I could go on about all that I like in it but that's boring and I won't.
I have played the beta on both Xbox and PC. I'm sure that Xbox will have significantly more players than it will on the PC (the beta alone had 200k on Xbox and 130k on PC). However, the game only runs at 30fps on Xbox but looks sexy as -blam!- on my PC in 1440p, 60fps, max settings.
I don't have friends who are going to get it and I'm really split. I would like to buy it on launch day (never preorder) so I want to decide this as soon as possible. Where should I buy it?
Edit1: Should have made this a poll.
Edit2: To be clear, I know it will have more players on console. I'm deciding if it is worth it to risk the game being smaller but having major performance increases or have a potentially longer experience but with poor performance (in comparison).
Edit3: I've decided to go with Xbox. I will miss my max graphics and 60fps but I would rather play the game for longer. I will still make another post tomorrow that just needs one person from PC and one person from Xbox to report player counts so watch out for that if you can help.
Edit4: I've put the post where I'm asking for player counts on this post. If anyone who owns the game could head over there that would be awesome.
Edit5: I'm going for PC. I'm sitting here looking at it in my Steam cart. If anyone has anything to say, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Thank you for your time.

25 RepliesDepends if they allow mods The main reason the souls community survives between dlcs is on PC they allow modding and what not So if they do I'd honestly say PC

1 ReplyEdited by Vanta Envision: 2/14/2017 7:18:08 PM
1440p, 60fps, max settings.
Nerdgasm. Personally, I would either go with graphics or whichever one your friends go on - whichever one you prefer. Edit: I know you already picked Xbox, but I thought I would still say that.

4 RepliesXbone count as of 4:30pm est. 1vs1 Low activity 4vs4 medium activity Dominion high activity Can't find actual numbers in game, and nothing came up when I googled it.

6 RepliesPc seems like the logical choice here donuts. 30fps in 2017. Sounds pathetic kinda. I'd definitely go with PC. Or whichever platform you are more comfortable playing on.
-
1 ReplyIf I had a good PC, I don't think I'd ever choose Xbox over PC. But, the simplified combat system seems a better fit for consoles. I'm personally not a fan. Having played Chivalry, I felt like the combat was lacking a certain freeness and depth. And with Mordhau and Mount & Blade 2 coming out, I can't really justify buying the game. You do you. It seems like a much more laid back game, so console's probably the better choice.

3 RepliesGet it on Xbox. We can play together.
-
1 ReplyWon't be out of work till around this time, tomorrow(3:30est). But I'll send you xbone numbers.

Didn't play it on pc but I could see the controls being really wonky for kbm. But I guess you can just a plug a controller in, and yeah Xbox probably will have a bigger and longer lasting player base.
-
1 ReplyGo for graphics your gameplay won't really change as you would probably be using a controller on PC
-
24 RepliesXbox will have more player than pc, but it is still an Xbox.
-
2 RepliesXbox community is less toxic. More fun
-
Well how I see it you're trying to choose between better graphics but less people, or more people but not as good graphics.
personally I'd go for more players than better graphics but that's just me.
2 RepliesEdited by moist nana: 2/13/2017 11:00:46 AMXbox?? Realy? There's not realy THAT much of a difference in player count

It's my understanding console games die on PC or have tiny player bases fairly quickly. I haven't gamed on a PC since like Doom 2 tho

-
1 ReplyDefinitely for console. It's just going to have a bigger population and for a longer period of time
-
1 ReplySucks, but ya gotta go with Xbox. Look at titanfall 2, gears of War 4, the division, all lost huge pc populations.
-
Xbox has ubisoft club, pc has Uplay. Which shitty service can you pretend exists less?
-
1 ReplyHonestly, I'd go with Xbox. We all know how a lot of console made games are ported over poorly to PC. I just get a funny feeling this will be one of them. And yeah, higher player counts will probably be on console. Maybe wait a couple days after the official release before buying.

2 RepliesSince friends are practically out of the equation (assuming I read that right), I'd say PC for better frame rate and graphics.

Edited by Capt Explodabob: 2/13/2017 6:37:41 AMThe most logical answer is usually PC if you have nothing tying you to consoles, though Ubisoft plus PC tends to equal a recipe for disaster. It's a difficult decision, but I'd say PC, purely because I didn't read that many complaints about PC performance during the BETA. Shame it's not a play anywhere game (though I don't expect much from Ubisoft anyway).

3 RepliesEdited by Lordsa Jar-Jar: 2/13/2017 9:28:36 AMWait for it to come out, see how many are playing it on PC. You'd probably also have a slight advantage on PC as well with a controller, since most knobs will be using a kb/m.
-
4 RepliesXbox/ps4 version will surely have a much larger player pool and therefore longer game longevity. Take that as you will.
-
11 RepliesDo you have a triple monitor? The game looks beyond fantastic if you do.

2 RepliesI know this is a smidge off of the topic... They don't share games? Isn't that how Microsoft works?
don't hate. It's an honest question.
3 RepliesEdited by renots6: 2/13/2017 1:48:48 AMI'd go pc. No point in getting stuff on Xbox anymore or to even have an Xbox since every game is on pc now. Pc>ps4>xbox1
