So, a month of Rise of Iron is upon us. What are the best weapons out there?
In terms of PvP, what are the best weapons of each archetype for each type of weapon? Name off your best ideas and/or your own person rolls for your weapons. It would be great to hear your own creative rolls besides the infamous matador and whatnot.

1 ReplyI really like The Distant Star, it has the same ROF and impact as MIDA, but higher stability and other perk options. Mine has Hidden Hand or Firefly. That combined with Gheleon artifact is beast.

1 ReplyThe iron Banner hand Cannon is a 3 shot kill in Crucible. One head shot to chest shot. It has a slower fire rate a little bit faster than first curse.

4 RepliesNothing is really different compared to pre rise of iron. the faster pulses are still dominating the crucible. A very small selection of legendary hand cannons are used. But they are so inconsistent most have dropped them. High impact shotguns are still the only shotguns worth using. On the plus side the trespasser is the first side arm I like.

Grasp of Malek archetypes which are Clever Dragon (literally the exact same as grasp) The Waltz Grasp Mida High rate of fire Autorifles with max stability. Matador. Juggernaut. An ability that can eat a shot from a Celestial Nighthawk....think about that....

5 RepliesFound myself using a thesan in trials for 230 games straight. Perfect counter to the shotguns. Obviously changed my play style slightly but I'm really liking them at the moment.

1 ReplyStill the same as always. Hand Cannons with max range are a good go to. High rate of fire pulse rifles are still a go to. This time around however is different for specials. Side arms and fusion rifles are very viable. Shotguns are kind of back up on the rise with Supremacy and the nerf to a certain sniper rifle archetype. For more distanced maps, the new meta for me is the MIDA archetype of scouts. We have two this time around. The Iron Banner one and the Angel Advocacy. Get good rolls on those and they'll tear.
