I'm just gonna come out and say it. I've spent a lot of time playing Sunsinger and I feel like Stormcaller just generates orbs more consistently and more often because of the options to reduce super dramatically, even if it drops less orbs per super.
Pulsewave is flat out more effective than song of flame, especially in public areas. That agility boost saves lives. People in the public either have no idea what Sunsinger does or does not have a way of knowing to group up to get their cooldown reduction. Combine pulsewave with electrostatic mind and your team just owns, no thought or timing required. Public users don't have to know to hang out by me, I can just go to them.
For PVE, sport those impossible machines and landfall along with superconductor is just ridiculous adds management and even a boss killer.
I really love Sunsinger, and Voidwalker is a fantastic class, too. Even though Void is much more offense oriented, Hunger builds or Nova Bomb builds are so effective that it gets kind of frustrating when I go Sunsinger and don't get kills ahead of my team while in radiance because grenades are nerfed, and if I opt to shoot things or run a sword, I'm still competing with the team to get kills.
When I run Stormcaller I can just feel my fireteam at ease and the public players just enjoy the ride.

However, a dead Stormcaller isn't going to pull off a clutch revive that saves the team from wiping, or help with DPS'ing bosses by debuffing them. Sunsinger can. Plus, Sunsingers can reliably keep Memory of Skorri active for long periods of time and act as a super battery for the team.

11 RepliesHate to be that guy, but song of flame + touch of flame + Viking funeral + solar grenades + memory of skorri. When my super is charged, everyone else's super charges faster. When I throw a grenade, everyone does more damage, when I use my super everyone does a ton more damage and. can throw grenades on top of their extra damage.

5 RepliesEdited by Angel_Soren: 10/5/2016 4:49:37 PMWanna see an orb dropping machine? Get a Nightstalker at Phase 1 Aksis in the Wrath of the Machines raid. They'll make all the orbs you could ever want.

2 RepliesIf you want an orb barfing machine in PvE, try Defender with Iron Harvest and Gift of the Void, with a decent sword. Especially fun when combined with a couple Guardians with high yield Supers, like Stormcallers or Sunbreaker.
