For me it's the game's art. I read that Hello Games based the art and atmosphere off of 1960's sci-fi book cover art. I read some of those books and enjoyed the art. I think NMS nailed that idea perfectly.

The hopes that someone might find somthing I discovered. Unlikely I don't have the game any more :(

Edited by puppyk1sses: 8/16/2016 8:53:06 PMThey delivered exactly what they said, and exactly what realistic gamers expected. For what they were aiming for, just about spot on. Chilled out exploration game where you can see pretty things and listen to chilled music. It's not for everyone, it doesn't have to be, and that's just fine.

The graphics are amazing. I just built a PC due to all the games that are coming out (including NMS) and I can run it at 4K. It is so -blam!-ing beautiful

3 RepliesSpace travel! Bungie needs to take some notes!! That's how I want to travel to the planets in destiny. Not just a ship in a load screen.
-
2 RepliesI'm one of the people who really love this game so I feel I'm about to get hate comments, but I feel it nailed a lot of things. -love the minimalistic hud like someone said. -art style is awesome. -Love the way creatures and multi tools and stuff is designed. They look awesome

1 ReplyMaking you feel insignificant and tiny

14 RepliesBesides the exploration of course, I think the music fits really well with the atmosphere. But I've been turning it down and building and scifi stoner metal playlist. I'll probably make a separate cowboy bebop music playlist

So far Music Vastness of space and planets to explore/ find Mini games - got stuck on a few of the maths questions. Tried really hard to look then up on google....

The art style. The entering and leaving the atmosphere. The space stations. The ships and multitools. The language based mini game riddles that give you items and blueprints. The pirate ship battles. Wish there was more land based or planet based stuff to do besides mining and breaking into small facilities. Land raids or something that keeps the sentinels from constantly going after you would be cool too. Also the sentinels themselves could use different models too besides a floating boxy ghost from destiny. Some humanoid robots or some kind of land tank would be cool too.

Upgrades, Ship/Multitool. Game always auto generates something slightly better than what you got, even then there's a million different configurations/looks

The sense of the size of the galaxy

I think the diversity within planets, every planet I've been to has had different animals, climate, and color schemes.
-
The exploration?
-
Scale Art Design I haven't played the game tho, only watched.

The art style, music, and atmosphere are flawless. There are other great things about the game as well, but those are the best aspects.
-
It's massive and i like the graphics style.
-
I really enjoy the minimalistic HUD. There is very little on the screen breaking immersion. Add that to the general air of 'mystery' and it really does make me appreciate the world they've made that much more.

8 RepliesUmmm they paid ign to make the review a six instead of the two it deserves so there's that
