It's true. Bungie screwed us over! I'll never get to play the new dlc now. :(
Edit: I would like someone from Bungie to confirm this.

Sorry man, but your console has been holding destiny back 360 is loosing all xbl online support in 4 years, and no more new games are allowed to be developed in either platform
-
To anyone with a last gen console just buy sonic 06 instead of RoI
-
3 RepliesJust do like I am going to do. Delete all your characters and then delete the game, then forget this game and the shitty company behind it.
-
It was either this or Bungie not making another expansion for Destiny. I don't think the old gen could handle another expansion. You had to have seen this coming very soon. It sucks but this is the reality of having a video game hobby. I could only imagine the uproar if people found out that Bungie cancelled a dlc due to last gen not being able to support it.
Wow, Ethan! Great memes! Keep it up! Proud of you!
-
DUDE you have had long enough to upgrade
-
Oh well. Expect less and less support for last gen across the board. They are no longer even making 360s any more.
-
You have had 2 1/2 years to upgrade. I updated around the first time i did vog and it was two months after it came out.

It's true. Bungie screwed us over! I'll never get to play the new dlc now. :( Edit: I would like someone from Bungie to confirm this.
PS3 was released originally back in 2006, it's 10 years old. 10 years.... TEN YEARS TEN YEARS

3 RepliesMaking a full switch during the lifespan of one game that's already committed to last-gen and with a (hopefully) current-gen-only sequel in the works, dropping PS3 & XB360 and their potential revenues at this point, for the sake of another small DLC, would be one of the most ridiculous/questionable business decisions I've ever seen in gaming.
-
It does kind of suck that they aren't waiting till destiny 2, but the ps3 has been out for a decade, you could literally have saved $5 a month from the time the ps3 came out and had enough for a ps4, PS+, and any games you could have possibly wanted. Or gotten the ps4 when it came out because gamestop was offering like 90% more trade in value if you put the stuff towards your ps4 purchase. I walked out of gamestop on release night having spent something like $130 total (ps4, ps+ subscription, preordered 2 games, and the $10 upgrade thing for cod ghosts). If you had started saving from when the ps4 launched (because it's quite obvious they were going to stop supporting/making games for the ps3/360 sometime in the near future), you could have saved like $20 a month and had more than enough for a console, ps+, and a game or two. Again, it does suck that it's happening so early, but this shouldn't have came as much of a surprise.

4 RepliesI know old gen console owners are upset but it had to happen at some point....

1 ReplyI wonder when Destiny will go PC... But maybe it's a good thing that it hasn't Just imagine the amount of cheaters in Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner running wall hacks, aimbots, one-shot cross mapping with an emote, infinite Grenades, supers, god mode etc. And with bungie's banhammer being so lenient it would be a mess like The Division's Dark Zone.
-
1 ReplyBungie has started dropping last gen. May other game developers follow.
-
Sorry man, but technology marches on. You're gonna have to upgrade eventually.
-
My kids play on my old 360 and they don't complain they love it. All the Lego games they play they could careless. Much respect to those who still play on those systems. The 360 had some of the best games ever made.
-
So here is something that people don't mention: Like other dlc, will this require you to have all of the previous versions (destiny, HoW, The Dark Below and Taken King) in order to play Rise? If so, not only will old Gen have to buy a new console, but also buy a game they already played just so they can play Rise. Is this something they would consider doing?

8 RepliesThose consoles are over a decade old. There are smartphones out right now that is more powerful than the ps3/360. Its time to upgrade dude.
-
Finally.

10 RepliesPs3 trade in credit at gamestop is $65. A ps4 right now is 350 I'm not even adding the frivolous bullcrap a person spends on a weekly basis. If spending $285 is such a financial burden on you to the point were it will bankrupt you or make you homeless then you shouldn't be playing video games at all. Last week our neigborhood had its garage sale and my daughter set up a lemonade stand with some homemade cookies and made $79.

1 ReplyEdited by SkilledWinna15: 6/8/2016 8:48:32 PMDo you guys want Rise of Iron on last gen to come out like Black Ops 3 did? Developers want to add new stuff, but they can't because two if their platforms can't take the data due to storage limitations. I know it sucks for all of you last gen people, but it's going to help them add new things to their game, thus making it less dry.
-
Time to update to current gen. Last gen has held us back for way to long..
