Who remembers when bungie told us..
Who else remembers the true purpose of the micro transactions? Because I remember them being put into the game to give us the next dlc(s) for free until destiny 2. So why is everybody forgetting thus and saying that they won't buy the rise of iron dlc(they won't have to buy it, it will be free) and if bungie decides to charge us for it, they will have the biggest lawsuit on their hands then any other gaming company, ever!
Edit: your "toaster" and followers have all been reported for harassment and personal attacks, I hope you all enjoyed your last day in the fourms :)

The purpose of Microtransactions was/is to fund the live team and the events that have occurred. [url=http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-12-08-bungie-talks-destiny-the-taken-kings-event-focused-future]link[/url] The original plan was to have these events bridge the gap to Destiny 2. This is probably speculation but I think Rise of Iron was a change of plans based on the delay of D2.

Pretty sure bungie said silver was to help fund the live team, not for free dlc. Kotaku speculated that it might be for dlc, but no one ever confirmed that rumor

Reading comprehension never was your thing was it? They NEVER said microtransactions would pay for dlcs. Their exact words have been quoted and sourced if you want to try and read it again. Reporting someone for a personal attack doesn't hold much water when all they did was call you on your bullshit. 8 RepliesI recall the post you are referring to, but I remember reading it differently. I remember them saying that micro-transactions were a way to bring money in for events they were planning (which ended up being SRL and Crimson Doubles). Festival Of The Lost had a positive response, but putting something that simple together (items and decorations only) still required hours of work and testing. SRL required two stages to be made from scratch (I noticed that we weren't driving through pre-existing content) and testing as well. This stuff costs money. Your $60 entitled you to the main game. The season pass entitled you to three DLCs. The Taken King was an expansion, not a DLC. It changed how Destiny was played. You may not feel that you got your money's worth, but other people feel differently. I, for one, will pay for Rise Of Iron because I enjoy the content.

Bungie never said that microtransactions were to support free DLC, that was hope sprung from Kotaku and the like's articles. The only thing Bungie ever said it would float was events like SRL, Halloween, Valentines... all that stuff. Furthermore, as stated in the terms of service, they reserve the right to change anything with or without notifying us. So even if they HAD said that was what micro was for (again, they never did), there would still be no lawsuits because you agreed to give them the ability to do that when you first started playing the game.

Bungie never said that, Kotaku did. Bungie said the micros were to help fund the live team to support small events like SRL, Crimson days and Festival of the lost. The biggest of which was technically the April update.

I don't think you understand how lawsuits work, besides if anyone attempted to sue Bunkie or Activision, the simply couldn't because of the money and lawyers they have
