Who else remembers the true purpose of the micro transactions? Because I remember them being put into the game to give us the next dlc(s) for free until destiny 2. So why is everybody forgetting thus and saying that they won't buy the rise of iron dlc(they won't have to buy it, it will be free) and if bungie decides to charge us for it, they will have the biggest lawsuit on their hands then any other gaming company, ever!
Edit: your "toaster" and followers have all been reported for harassment and personal attacks, I hope you all enjoyed your last day in the fourms :)

We weren't promised free dlc. We were promised free events such as srl and crimson days. Check yoself before you post.
-
No. they said "live events" not DLC. people who defended silver and that cant read said Dlc
-
Give me a link to where Bungie said this.
-
Nobody remembers that because it didn't happen. OP is delusional.
-
You're a complete idiot if you they are going to give away their game for free. On that note, go right ahead and sue them. I'll be kicking back with my popcorn watching the comedy.
-
1 ReplyThey gave us free stuff in April be grateful
-
Updates, DLC, Expansions.... Terminology is so difficult for some.
-
NOBODY REMEMBERS THAT! DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE IT DIDNT HAPPEN.
-
They said year 2. RoI starts year 3 so shut it up buttercup

1 ReplyRemember when crucible was balenced
me neither
Live events aren't DLC bud. 'Nuff said.
-
They said throughout year 2. Not until Destiny 2. RoI is year 3. Check your facts. #TitanMasterRace

First off, just because you report someone doesn't mean they're getting banned, I've reported many people on here for blatant racism and threats and they only have their comments removed. Second, we were promised free live updates, never DLC.
-
1 ReplyI was pretty sure the Eververse store was for small events, not the DLC that was coming out. Could you please link the article? The article from bungie, not some third party speculation group.
-
I believe Eververse was created to fund the Live Team which creates events such as SRL, Festival of the Lost, Crimson Doubles etc. for free. DLC is developed by a different department all together and will always be sold.
-
Show the quote or video of Bungie stating this or its just you talking out your azz. I'll be waiting.
-
Nope. Microtransactions are a source of funding for the Live Team only. Expansions arent created by this team. This is the regular Bungie dev team delivering the next part of the game. I dont understand how or why you think it would be free.

9 RepliesEdited by PhraustStryke: 6/8/2016 11:34:09 PMI'll be riiiight back. EDIT: Ok it says right here last year in October when they very first started introduced micros what the intention was and are. I'll save you the read by pulling out a direct quote from it...
Our plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that we’ll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.
Idk about you op, but I didn't see anything about dlc's in that. Micros fund services by the live team that would include, SRL, FotL, and CD. Maybe even the April Update, heck you can probably throw in IB too. It's a time controlled event and somebody had to turn in on and off right? Anyway my point is I can call out all the things flawed with Destiny right there with the best of them, but when I do. I make sure I know wtf I'm talking about first. Which is more than what I can say about you (and by seeing the savagery in the comments here many are saying the same thing).
-
They were introduced to pay for the live team and their twitch broadcasting studio.
-
1 ReplyI'm glad you did your research... /sarcasm A. Bungie Never Said that Microtransactions were paying for all future DLC, but for future free events and content updates. B. This is not a content update, this is an expansion. C. Activision and Bungie had announced that Free DLC and Paid DLC were going to coexist.
-
6 RepliesHahaha you actually reported people for proving you wrong? That's cute, only better that you think A: they'll actually get banned and B: that it would be more than a week long ban
-
...and if bungie decides to charge us for it, they will have the biggest lawsuit on their hands then any other gaming company, ever!
Let me know how that lawsuit works out for ya

Edited by BadgermanPrime: 6/10/2016 4:51:58 PMNobody remembers that because it was never said. The purpose of micro transactions was to bolster the live team and enable them to create events - festival of the lost, crimson days, SRL. Never was it stated to be any more than that. Or not through any official channels at least
-
They never said that they said micro transactions were to fund the live team for free events like srl and crimson doubles until fall of 2016
