I played the Beta and enjoyed it, but I don't feel like it should be worth $60. It seems like it's the LoL or Smite type, and shouldn't be more than $40 at most.
Thoughts?
With that being said, is it worth getting now that it's a full game?
Edit: Never thought this would get so much debate.

3 RepliesEdited by Kujoklr25: 5/27/2016 7:35:38 PMPersonally I wouldn't even pay $40 for it. It's too light on content for my taste and I've never been a big fan of games that release as MP only with no campaign. Read an interesting post on Reddit that basically said if any other Developer released a game this light on content (Battlefront, Titanfall) they'd be ripped by critics but since it's Blizzard they're being given a pass. I kind of agree with that because when you look at critic reviews and they're all 9.5 or 10 out of 10 and then looking at most places user scores they start as low as 5.9 and get up around 7.5.

2 RepliesNormal is 40$ Origin edition( 4 exclusive skins) 60$
-
Well I had loads of fun in the beta, I'll get it for pc for 40$. Only origins is 60$. Get the regular edition.
-
It's a weird game that to me has no middle ground. It's fun to mess around and play casually but it's impossible to play competitively unless you're like super hard core with a full team and mics.
-
If you truly enjoyed it get it if not wait a bit and buy it later or not at all. Anyone saying anything else isn't giving you a fair answer to your question.
-
It's $60 for one reason, it's the origins edition. Console doesn't get the $40 normal version. Why? Activision of course.
-
1 ReplyI don't mind it being 60, it's the most fun I've had in a game for a very long time.
-
1 ReplyShort answer? Yes.
-
No. Not even close to being worth $60. $40? Absolutely.
-
Considering the fact that all updates and dlcs are going to be free it sorta understandable why it is 60. That said I'll just wait for the regular 40 when it comes out.

$40 on PC masterrace
-
$60? Not for me. Luckily it's $39 on PC :)

These threads are giving me a rash. If you enjoy a game, it's worth your money. Destiny was an all around shitty game, but I liked it and dumped days upon days and probably $200 into it. $200 was worth countless hours of laughs I had with my irl friends, and I met about 5 other guys who I've become good online friends with. And now we all play Overwatch because we all like it. So far, $60 has been worth all the laughs and intense games we've had.

2 RepliesProbably because it is $40 But if you buy console they shove legendary skins on you and some cross game items. The $20 difference will bag you 24 loot creates, the micro transaction available. Friend of mine popped one to make an experiment and only got 1 legendary and enough currency to buy another. So by Blizzard's currency and progression standards, you'd have to level up 24 times to open 24 crates, it's a deal. But not really

2 RepliesThe cost is 40$ for the game and 20$ extra because it's one of the most enjoyable games released in a while
-
Considering how much fun I'm having on it, I'd say it was worth it
-
-
No, it's worth $120, to be honest
-
I'd pay somewhere in the 30 dollar price range but it's not worth 60 to me.

2 RepliesThis is totally worth $60... Everybody in these forms are acting like $60 dollars is a lot of money. That's a nice dinner out with friends. $60 is not a lot of money. And the polish this game has to offer relative to other $60 priced games is amazing! This is hands down one of the best games out. I'm tired of hearing, but it needs a story. Call of duty to me is a multiplayer only game. It's story has been shit for years. Yet people do not complain about its average online. While a game with a brilliant online, that happens to fork out the single player option gets beat up. Smh.

Consoles force you to pay $60. I couldn't give less of a shit about character skins or "loot boxes" so I won't be buying it until they drop the price. This is why I don't like multiplayer only games. If you don't go balls deep into multiplayer, then you're not getting your money's worth. I just can't see any reason to pay $60 for it.

On Paper? No. From the outside Overwatch looks like it lacks the content to render it costing 60$. I'll be honest, if I hadn't played the beta I wouldn't have bought the game. But I do think it is worth the 60$. That is because the game is FUN. Pure enjoyment. Not once have I been upset playing this game, I can't say that about any other game ever, (although it has only been out a few days). I play games to have fun with my friends and this game does that flawlessly.

4 RepliesIt's $79.99 in Canada We the expensive

14 RepliesActivision is involved. It's probably not worth a dollar. Considering they WILL milk you for ever one of those dollars you have.

2 RepliesI simply don't understand how there isn't a story mode. If ever there was a winner for most disconnect between trailer and game, Overwatch would take the cake. I had fun in the beta when playing with friends, but there isn't enough to justify it's price tag.
