A lot of people are asking on forums if a certain weapon is good or not and it's concerning because a lot of people on forums apparently have a short attention span.
Look, guys, we're all friends here but if you seriously don't know if a gun is good or not then get off of your device, pick up your controller and go and use it.
Chances are, a first hand experience is better than a second hand experience. Just stop wasting our time
Here's a few prime examples of this:

Who gives a flying eagle? Most of those guys there are to show off what they got, they already know it's good. ~I'll Ram your ass!

I say if I like a weapon and enjoy using it it's good who cares what everyone else thinks. If it works for me it's good enough

2 RepliesEdited by seeweedbuscut: 5/23/2016 8:02:53 AMA lot of casuals don't actually have the time to go test out all their scouts in all situations. Often for us, its a lot easier to just ask the people with experience who also give helpful and detailed advice/ answers. I'll admit, i am a bit guilty of asking for attention every once and a while. I bagged a Longbow and LDR consecutively from my first April packages, and i admit, i did ask about my rolls a bit for attention... However, most of my post asking about judgements on high impact scouts and other things are actually because i either want to know about the weapons available before i grind for one or i just don't have the time to run every single one of my scouts in every situation, because i'm a casual with limited time.

1 Replytake out all the nerf posts, the naming and shaming of cheater posts and all the " is this weapon good?" posts and you may as well shut down the forums

4 RepliesI got an imago loop with rangefinder, braced frame and firefly. good or nah?
-
Most do it only to show off, but sometimes it's a legit question. The other day I asked about a certain TDYK that dropped. I don't like hoarding weapons so if I am unfamiliar with it I will ask. I have around 18 335 primaries so I won't keep one unless it's worthy. Lol

4 RepliesWhy so serious? Why so arrogant? You must have voted for trump....

Edited by Unicronic: 5/23/2016 8:50:51 AMNo-one actually wants to know if a weapon is good or not. They're posting for alternative reasons, but I just can't figure out what.

Hey, could you look at my uhhhhhhhhhhh secondary fusion rifle uhhhhhhh Long far Gone and uhhhhhhh tell me if uhhhhhhh you think I got a uhhhhhhhh god roll? Uhhhh plz

Thank you. I hate those threads, Last week someone made a post asking was his soulstealers claw with rangefinder, hand-laid stock and counter balance any good, and he want other people opinions on it. What dafuq do you think is it any good? Take it to the crucible and see for yourself. Some people just need attention
-
3 Replies9/10 they know whether it's good or not, they just want to show it off.

I think it's more about attention than advice. They usually ask about rare weapons, e.g. Grasp of Malok, Imago Loop, Stolen Will. I get the feeling that they're trying to brag about having gotten one of those rare guns and disguise it as a "is this weapon any good?" post Also, inb4 ban. You're naming and shaming by linking to the other posts and we all know the CoC don't like that

1 ReplyRight. Just stick with in game asking. Personally, I have my own ideas for what the best rolls are for each weapon archetype are. Actually finding those however, is luck. Take hand cannons for example: Low impact: I like to go with things that increase the magazine size and stability, and possibly the damage as well. Medium impact: I used to feel really comfortable with this type until the per shot recoil was increased, so stability and accuracy wouldn't be bad options here, but things that can increase its range damage or magazine size also work well. Overall, as its type suggests, the most balanced and open for possibility. High impact: since a lot of these don't have a big clip, magazine size and or reload is good to get. You can make them inflict some real pain if you can get a good damage perk, and you don't lose out as much on stability with this type comparatively. Also I look for perks on them for what I'm doing as well: PvE: explosive/armor piercing rounds and grenadier/army of one. Love getting one of each of those two catagories on a weapon. Pvp: things that further increase range, stability, and accuracy for the most part. After all, you can't kill what you can't hit.

2 RepliesOpinions can be helpful. Granted, most of the time, it's someone just wanting to show off. I made a post once, because I couldn't decide between two snipers. Other people's input helped. My question, why does it bother you so much? It, literally, doesn't affect you at all.

For the most part guns are personal preference. Just try it out to see if you like it or not

1 ReplyOP fail.

1 ReplyCan you rate deez?
-
3 RepliesI disagree... Some players that are newer to the game, might not be as familiar with certain perk for a weapon... I wouldn't want to waste leveling up a gun if it wasn't worth the time. I don't mind if people ask... I've done it myself in the past. No biggie.

2 RepliesSome people are probably just new or theu are those people that can't think for themselves. Either one.

If I pair my Harrowed Smite with a Radegast's Fury with Clown Cartridge, would I be OP?

Is my Aegis of the Reef a god roll? I need weapon parts asap so answer plz

I think it's stupid to post that question when you can find a YouTube review for any gun ppl would ask about. Its just like they need some attention or something.
