Strike exclusive gear drop rates are a joke
Over 35 heroic strikes complete (most with vanguard streak active) And ZERO legendary items.
My suggestion is that you do what you did with IB and replace all legendary engrams with strike exclusive gear, as it is a huge pain to spend 30 mins doing a strike because 7 people left and receive nothing! I don't just want a 290 blue weapon and 120 vanguard rep, you can get more loot from PATROL
Edit: I just got my first strike exclusive piece of gear since the April update, which was a 335 does not bow. Which got me to 335, pity the rolls are crap
Edit: nightfall is the archon priest strike, go get that taken shotgun!

4 Replies35!? Jesus. Listen, Bungie: Just give them all the weapons and gear in the game at 335 and let them pick whatever perks they want. I mean, unless this is a joke that I am too obtuse to get, maybe? Doing 35 blam-ing strikes means nothing. Certain drops, such as Grasp of Malok, are really top tier items. Getting good stuff requires some grinding. You have no idea how much harder and longer the grind was in year one. I know people who never got a Gjallarhorn. Around 15 viable activities per week for a year and no gally. You are complaining about 35 strikes? I never got Hunger of Crota. I could go on for days with examples of how good you have it now. If you're looking for a Grasp, set up a farming run on heroic. I've gotten over 10 now. I do about an hour of farming per week, mostly for friends and glimmer. Does not Bow is going to be a grind unless someone finds a way to farm it. That horrible shotgun from the new version of Archon is... well.. horrible. But I still do it since it usually drops at 335 and you can infuse with it. The scouts (Treads Upon Stars/Not Like the Others) are terrible in PvP and are a joke compared to the scout you can buy from DO. That stupid helmet from Blighted Chalice is just a regular legendary helmet that you get from the worst strike Bungie has ever made. Same goes for the Flayer mantles. But without a doubt Bungie upped the rates for those because my friends and I have gotten at least 20 in the past week. That's all I can think of for now. 35 blam-ing strikes. Just wow.

With the introduction of strike specific loot (which is awesome), they really should have given us a way to farm specific strikes instead of just the heroic playlist.

Bosses should not drop legendary engrams. Only legendary loot. I just got my first imago loop after 110+ conpletions of undying mind.

Its very unfortunate. There are many issues with the Strikes and the current reward process. I often enjoy doing the strikes but there are numerous issues. The drop rates are incredibly low. Also, the variety of strikes is unpleasant. Each day, the same rotation of strikes repeat over and over. I don't understand why they can't mix them up more and not have Omnigul repeat over and over again. At this point in the game, I have completed all content so Strikes are what I do for fun but its becoming less fun these days. Also, the random deaths that seem to be occurring in content that are unexplained. The "Misadventure" death needs to be examined as I often die from this during strikes when I have not encountered any issues.

3 RepliesThe drop rate is extremely low. Based on my own experiences, the drop rate from strikes with the boost is much less than 1%. I would guess it is closer to .1 to .5% drop chance. It makes doing strikes not worth the time.

It's always heartbreaking to have a Legendary drop from a Strike boss, only for it to be an Engram..Especially a Class Item Engram.

I got 2 Darkblade's Spite (hive fusion), hive pulse rifle (with god roll), 4 Treads Upon Stars, not to mention 3 flayer cloaks and imago loop. Been grinding strikes since AU and haven't got a single thing. Edit: You are right with patrol. After an hour i can have as many as 30,40 engrams, but only about 20 max from an hour of strikes. I think they're just nerfing all loot, because Three of Coins doesnt drop shit anymore.

3 RepliesNot a bad idea. Maybe make strike bosses have a 25% chance of dropping them though, as all legendaries becoming those would be a liiiiittle annoying and too easily obtained.
