Now that we can get 335 gear from almost EVERYTHING. What makes the raids and trials special? They are ENDGAME activities. They should only reward endgame gear. That's my opinion, bump if you agree
Also, I might add I've gotten 3 sterling treasures a week and not bought one. And I haven't gotten any taken gear. I honestly think Bungie made it so you can only get desolate gear if you buy it, or I just have bad luck
EDIT: I love the hate but I'm sorry taken tots and semi casuals. Year 1 was way better sorry you missed out or just didn't like it :)
EDIT 2: You people don't realise that I'm just expressing my opinion. And you're also saying what am I doing here wasting my life blah blah blah, get over it you're here too
EDIT 3: You're all a bunch of savages and I love it 💦💦

Add ingame lfg or optional matchmaking for everything plus decent looking/performing raid/trials gear and Ill agree personally Ill stick with my better IB and new HoJ gear.

2 RepliesI think that there is a level of truth in your statement. Trials and Raid gear should be top tier. But, with infusion, and enough grinding, anyone can get anything to 335. However, what should be setting that gear apart are the perks. Trials gear and Raid gear deserve to have better perks and stats, as they require a good deal more commitment to obtain. Thus, that Doctrine deserves to mow down most other Autos in the game. However, Noone should be barred from attaining the max light by making those activities the only route. Taken Tots and Casuals spent just as much as you for the game. However, I agree that, in order to get certain pieces of gear, one should have to play the mode it comes from. I'm not a huge fan of pvp, but I ground it out y1 on xbox for that ill will!! So, tl;dr, max level should be reachable by all. But, Raid, Trials and PoE gear should be special, for sure, for the effort required to get them. And, well, compared to other legendaries, they arent. Not like the old raid gear was...

Edited by Sixclicks: 5/3/2016 7:31:04 PMAdd a way to find other players in game like an LFG board, and I'll agree. Otherwise, I'm glad I can finally solo my way to max level. Plus, I really don't like Kings Fall.... I find it incredibly boring. Trials is okay when you've actually got good friends to play with. Unfortunately all of mine stopped playing a few months ago. All that's left now are my 900 ELO friends.... try going flawless with 2 players at that level on your team. So now I just occasionally run Trials with them with zero expectations of going flawless just to complete the bounties. I went Flawless in year 1 twice, I'm good with that tbh.

meanwhile everybody on lfg sites says "104299 + elo, 1.3 kd" "must be 330 plus or i report"
-
So, your saying that the Crucible and Iron Banner should not give 335 items? Why not? Because they are PVP? If you take the meaning of "End Game" and actually think about it, then Kings Fall hard mode is it. It is technically the main end game goal. Trials is just another form of PVP and should not, by your logic, give 335 items.

1 ReplyI like this system better, and I am a beta player. This system allows you to play only what you enjoy. If you don't like kings fall, or aren't great at trials you have other avenues to play what is enjoyable to you but not be locked out from reaching max level. You're not being *forced* to play an activity you don't like just for the highest loot. How does this hurt the way you play the game? You have the same options everyone else does. They can (and should) continue to make exotic quest lines that lock certain weapons from being obtainable until you complete that quest but I believe this system is better because you're not locked from reaching the highest level if you don't like a certain end game activity

1 ReplyHow does a casual at 335 effect your game? Let them enjoy it
-
I'm happy for people to advance whatever way they want. Why not just play the game instead of arbitrarily declaring certain activities 'Endgame because I say so' and slagging off people who don't agree with your opinion. You can have an opinion, but try and have an informed opinion instead of arbitrary declaration.

Trials is for players who suck at patrols
-
3 RepliesThey need to provide a means to get to 335 without fireteams. Not everyone wants/can be in fireteams, for a plethora of reasons
-
1 ReplyI think they should make it so that you get 335 gear from several specific activities E.g. CoO gives 335 Artifacts, KF should give 335 Armor, ToO should give 335 Weapons
-
yea no. you sir have a dumb opinion. not every one enjoys running raids/pvp.
-
1 ReplyYou should only raid IF you want too, personally I hated kings fall. Why torture myself?
-
What makes them special is actually being able to do them with friends.

Edited by iiiiKIZERiiii: 5/3/2016 6:42:50 PMYou do.. You Get Trials Gear and Raid Gear. When you see somebody in Full Trials Gear you know they either grinded or was carried When you see somebody in Full Raid Gear you know they either grinded or was carried When you see somebody in Full POE Gear you know they either grinded or was carried When you see somebody in Full ......................... See the point? =) I do see your point thou. When I grinded my Butt off for Full VOG gear then Crota gear to have things sold better than I was wearing I started to not care anymore, but Bungie is going to forever screw us lol .
-
I agree. Too many options frighten me. #satire
-
Nah, I find KF boring, with this system I'm no longer forced to play the raid to level up and can now do other things besides raiding.
-
Destiny is/was based on Bungie's statement: 'play it your way'. So, NO...
-
Damn, someone's desperate to remain a special snowflake.

Finally...... Grimiore matters.

While I agree that year one was better, this way is so much faster. Tuesday night use to mean: VoG on all three Characters, Crota on all three Characters, and Nightfall on all the characters.
-
Naw It's so much easier to level up, and it's fun to level up Since the point of the game, or any game, is to have fun, I would say Bungie did well
