Agreed. Without elemental primaries I just use either MIDA or the ToO pulse. When there was I had many weapons of all kinds of elements. You could argue that it's my own fault I only use 2 primaries and I could use more, but that would be the same when there was elements. You could've used any weapon you wanted, same with now, except now there isn't any incentive to use other weapons depending on the situation, they all function the same and don't offer any bonuses like taking down this kind of shield quicker or during burns. The only variety that came out of removing elementals was on the large scale. People may not all be using the same gun, but you can pretty much bet that they use maybe only 1-2 different primaries.
It used to be everyone used guns A B C and D. Now you see people using A B C D E F G and H BUT they only use one or two of those. Before everyone switched between A B C and D depending on the situation, and it's not like everyone was using those weapons. You still saw plenty of outliers who didn't have/use those popular guns.

Edited by Benzene21: 4/27/2016 5:08:18 PMPlease. Almost everybody used FB for arc, VoC for solar, and either WoC or Atheon's Epilogue for void. You make it sound like people used a lot of weapons when this is obviously not true. In fact, people used FB and VoC even when they did not need the burn! Elemental primaries made kinetic weapons obsolete. What people decide to use is not really the point. The fact is now you have more options.

Here is the thing FB and VoC were both in general amazing guns. The only difference now is that they aren't in year two. The burn was only a small factor. Another thing is that s majority of people didn't even have those things. If you disagree that's alright. But check my hunter it is pretty much a year two fatebringer. It still shreds so as I said. Gun good not burn.

They didn't use those weapons because of the burn, they used those weapons because they were just great guns. I would kill for another VoC even without burn.

VoC is a bad example since it is not that great and you could find many scout rifles that were just as good, if not better.
VoC is a bad example since it is not that great and you could find many scout rifles that were just as good, if not better.
VoC was high impact, high capacity and you could almost max out stability but it wasn't that great? Interesting logic you have there. I disagree completely

Edited by Benzene21: 4/27/2016 7:18:00 PMVoC is not high impact. It's mid impact. The stats are great. The 2 main perks (full auto and zen moment), not so much, since they don't really improve the weapon significantly. Those two perks are basically useless for scouts of that archetype. and that's why it's not a great scout overall.

not that great? I loved that weapon both for crucible and PvE. Great stats, perks, and even the sight. It was the firat weapon I ever got from VoG and the first weapon I used etheric light on.

I agree. I had much more variety in my loadout in yr 1. Now? Nirwens or hung jury. Really don't use much else now
