Anyone worried that three of coins is just a waste?
I used 100 three of coins today, only got 5 exotics. Anyone else having this issue please comment below!
Edit: Thanks for your thoughts. Makes me feel a bit better.

Nah man. Just ran a few herioc Strikes, popped about 4 3oC got 2 exotics one after the other. [spoiler]And I finally got Devouring Maw! xD[/spoiler]

Drop rate for me was absolute shit as well this week, I was lucky to get 1/15 to drop....

1 Reply100 3oC Allow at least 10 minutes cool down between each 1000 minutes = 16.66 hours (in 1 day( Either you are using them too frequently or using multiple at the same time or you need to take a break from playing and do something else for a while

I was in CoE and i used one every boss, i didn't got anything after 14 bosses and suddenly i got 5 engrams in a row. Btw. I did CoE around 45 times this weekend.

It was like 1x exotic for ever 5-7 coins for me.... Until a month or two ago. Now it's like 1x exotic for every 15-20 coins. I'm sure it's just a bad streak since that happens a lot on games ruled by RNG Gods, specially for this game.

Wow, like, that's excessive. I usually get about 1 for every 5 used. Court of Oryx, antiquated, was so easy this week I just hung around there. So many people were showing up to off load thier antiquated runes, I just popped a 3oC each time. I wish I had more 3oCs. I think I did the boss like 60 times on Sunday. I didn't think to use 3oC on this boss otherwise I would've gotten more from xur . A group of 4-5 players, some having 3 or more ruins, adds up quick. I leveled my eris rep twice on 1 character just from this. I probably did it more than 60 times.

I'm not entirely convinced they make that much of a difference anymore to be honest. After they nerfed them I get fewer exotic drops now than I did before the coins were available. I haven't really played that much since November. It's picked back up a bit since the update but I'm not really that invested anymore.

I used to always get around one exotic per 5 coins but two days ago I ran CoE, used 18 coins, one at a time and only got one exotic special. Got hereafter again too :(

If you used 100 in one day, you must have been using a few at a time. That's why you got nothing. Just use one at a time and you should average 1 engram for every 5 or so 3oC used.

Used it during the shade part of Oryx this week on all three characters. Probably used 12 of them and got 3 exotics. 325 Purifier Robes, 324 Stag, 326 Hawkmoon

I've gotten 5 in the last 20 coins. Think my rng got buffed in the update

2 RepliesOne guy did an extensive, experimental in-game study on them and came with about a 0.2 chance of getting an exotic per ToC. Basically, an average of 1/5 chance

I got a double exotic drop yesterday from one of the challenge bosses. Both arms though.

I used 30 over the weekend and got Plan c Khepris sting Don't touch me Lucky raspberry. All stuff I didn't have plus about my 20th crest of alpha lupi So I must say that was one of the best 3oc runs ever for me.

Not me. 3oC has been good to me lately, especially after the update. It takes instincts and timing on using them, I feel. Crucible matches have net me the most chance of drops if that helps.
