Those who buy sterling packages are setting a precedent for the future!
To those buying 20 to 40 dollars of sterling shit. You are actually killing this game and the franchise.
$20 used to get a raid, a bunch of guns, new exotics and a few story missions.
Bungie now sees how much you pay for trivial crap like a full set of armor and says to themselves. If they are willing to pay that much for a chance at reskinned armor set, we can get at least $60 for a ttk sized expansion and $30 to $35 for a dark below sized dlc.
Even if 3/4 of the remaining population doesn't buy these boxes, it will happen.
Buying armor is here to stay, now it's just a point of what they will sell next.

Bethesda and blizzard developers and the quality of there products are worth it. With player counts down eventually Bungie-vision will follow. As a gamer you have a "choice" and smart parents with lil gamers eventually stop spending due to the value of a dollar. Again it's a choice.

This is just bungie trying to get more money. If they really wanted to screw us over they would limit how many times we can do a certain activity but make people purchase "tokens" to do it again. I see no issue with this other than people complaining "no fair! I don't LOOK as cool as that guy, they should stop because I want to look like that but I don't have my mommys credit card"

If anyone posts "pay to win"... You're an idiot. The armour you get is 3 light and you still have to do some form of grinding before you can get it up to a decent level for end game content.

Literally just went and bought a package after reading this. Not to be an ass, but who cares. At the end of the day, it's a video game. And whether or not they add actual advantages into eververse, it will always be optional. As for expansion prices, Destiny is one of those games you spend a shit ton of time in...I've got my money's worth and then some. Calm down, y'all.

At least something of this magnitude may be able to help fund the kind of content we want on a better timetable than in the past. I don't care if an expansion costs ten more dollars than I paid for 3 maps (all reskins) on Halo 3 8 years ago. Video games cost the same as they did 20 years ago. Yet they require insane budgets to make. The gaming industry is the only industry where the consumers are greedier than the producers. That's why shady shit like this has to happen for growth.

I agree, most of the MMO's that I have left were over things like this. No not because I am some white knight either- but because the gear you HAD to earn was way less desirable than the stuff you can purchase. I like Emotes, I liked the SRL stuff, but I really am against random-loot boxes for real cash and against purchasing gear sets for real cash.
