yup. remember when Bungie said they will keep micro transactions strictly cosmetic? well now we will be able to BUY ARMOR. what will we be doing by the time Destiny 2 comes out? Will we have to pay for energy to -blam!-ing play crucible matches?
they are killing this game. if u still log in to Destiny everyday i am so so sorry.
EDIT: "Well its only 3 light so your argument is invalid". i dont give a shit about the light. the point is they are now selling armor rather than pure cosmetics which obviously crosses a line and begs the question: where will we be in 2 years?
EDIT 2: a good point made by lethalviper80:
The 3 light arguement is bullshit, they altered the infusion system just to accomadate and promote silver sales. It's not a coincidence that they changed it just as they try getting you to gamble cash to get the armour that you can then instantly infuse it.
EDIT 3: I guess lethalviper80 is apparently a disliked member of the forums... sorry about that. but for some of u, Its not the armor itself thats the problem but the principle of the entire thing is where Bungie has gone wrong.
You see two years in and we are seeing armor that can be bought (mind you that if you have the money you can end up with an amazing roll of perks that would normally take weeks to obtain through raiding).
What about Destiny 2? I'm concerned for its future because if these micro transactions keep happening and we don't say something then further down the road we will face the repercussions (worst case scenario would be chests like in COD that are purchasable in-game)

Edited by I aM 2 gO0d 4 U: 4/11/2016 1:31:12 AMAs long as you can't buy guns and things at a high light level, I'm fine with it. I can still get the armor in a reasonable time frame and for free and fun :)

2 Replies"Well its only at 3 light value" is straight up stupid. Think about it, the majority of the player base left is at least 315 to 320 already. Soon as the update drops they buy the armor and its already their previous rank so it's just a point of starting up hard kings fall and poe to get higher armor to infuse. So the people that say "well you still gotta play the game to max out your rank" just try to make it seem like you'll have to play it longer to max out paid gear when really it's the same amount of time.... They just like to reassure themselves that their beloved game isnt turning into a cod game.

1 ReplyIt doesn't -blam!-ing matter :D I like that this is a thing now, I can point at twats who spend money for a gear roll over and over again and laugh at them! It's the best kind of entertainment! Jesus people are butthurt because of this...
-
6 RepliesThe only problem I have is the rep boosters. While not guaranteed, buying loads of the packs will give you a lot of them

PTW, no. Slow reconditioning, admitting yes. New day, new market

1 ReplyAnd how much money are people willing to pay at a CHANCE for these 3 light armor pieces?

if they were putting the money from silver and sterling chests towards dedicated servers, i would be fine with 'em but they practically built the game around damage referee so that will never happen. dumbest devs ever

1 ReplyMany of us predicted this when Eververse was announced. Keyboard warriors slung insults and said it was only going to be cosmetic. Now this Tuesday people can pay to get God-roll perks and stats on armor. Keyboard warriors ' defense now is "you could eventually get it too if you grind long enough." Smh. Those of us who care about the integrity of this game and value the content are rightfully concerned - unless we make it painful for them NOW, BungieVision will continue to expand this further until they reach a point of total outrage (e.g. Activision's other FPS, where they ALREADY EXPANDED THIS TO CASH FOR WEAPONS!).

Edited by errdayimshuffln: 4/10/2016 10:02:56 PMAhahahhahahhaha. I havnt played destiny in like 5 months and I come back to learn that bungie is selling armor which you can infuse and experience points! Ahahhahahaha. I'm so not surprised. It is step by step people. So many people predicted it would happen this way. Slowly but surely, Bungie makes you swallow pill after pill until you find yourself exactly where you didn't want to be. A person who is spending a ton of time and money playing a game that's no longer that rewarding or fun. Addicted to something that has diminishing returns. Hook you in the beginning, milk you later.

2 RepliesIt IS cosmetic

6 RepliesCould careless tbh.... Just bought my 5th 20$ psn card this week to buy more silver so I can stack up of chroma and got full taken gear on all 3 characters. No other game has my interest so might as well spend money on the game I still enjoy 2 years later somehow.
-
I have never used personal money to buy silver. I use Bing points. I'm up to $20 of free money and plan on saving more to buy any future games and or DLC's. Takes about 18 days to earn $5. But if you have multiple accounts.......you get my point.

I am a lethal viper fan -- troll that usually puts some energy into his posts. I agree the infusion change was to accommodate silver purchase of items -- so what??
-
The 3 light argument makes me laugh since not only can the armor be infused but infusion is now 1:1.
-
Seems the dlc is free I will spend a little on re rolling armour, why not

1 ReplySo what you are saying is you would rather them sell stuff that has 0 light and no perks? I would only be fine with this if they added a Cosmetic slot, because wearing just ONE of those will do s**t to your level, intellect, strength , and discipline. As of now, I am perfectly fine with them selling armor that I can infuse into if I am too lazy to grind for it. Which I wont buy anyways, because it is available in like, 5 or 6 different activities. You are simply trying to argue and bash at something that has nothing to be bashed for. Trust me, they haven't crossed the line yet, so please, STOP! You are only gonna make Bungie think "Well.. I guess the community just doesn't like getting new stuff. Guess we will just stop trying"
-
1 ReplyI really don't understand where all of this indignation is coming from. It's just armor, that glows in the dark, it may come with good perks, but when have the perks on your armor ever drastically altered the flow of a battle? If you are that concerned about armor rolls being "top tier" then maybe you need to calm down and reevaluate for a second. I say to this what I say about all things, let all wait for five minutes so we can see how it works.
-
4 RepliesI swear some of you kids will whine about anything. It's not armor if it doesn't protect you, and although being concerned about microtransactions is important, getting panty-bunched just to have something to write about is just plain silly. Unless you enjoy looking silly, in which case - rock on.
-
1 ReplyPay to win so getting something that automatically makes you the best or one of the top people. This armor has no extra perks or new perks and you can also earn it in game so shut your dumb ass up
-
Can't wait to solo oryx with my light level 3 armor
