Latest Destiny Companion App is DAMN good
I love the new App. It's just awesome. Now if only Bungie can make me love the game again. Who else agrees?
Edit: There seems to be inconsistent experience on Android. This is probably due to the Android version running on the phone.
Edit 2: Looks like forum reading is another concern. I personally like it.
Edit 3: the K/D issue is annoying. Not being able to track overall k/d for game mode makes app less useful for Crucible folks.

Yet another Edit: I wish there was a way to gather all feedback and send it to Bungie to consider for the next app update. I have no reading issues with the color scheme but some folks do.
Does anyone know how to get Deej or Cozmo to show up? I don't want to type a long review on iOS but I might have to.
Improvements Edit:
Ideas on what to improve on the app by popular demand:
1. Theme selector - allow folks to change background to white and text to black.
2. Re-integrate the individual game mode k/d.
3. Have a spot to show total medal score like the grimoire is currently shown.
4. Move the search icon (most important feature in my opinion) to a permanent place in the top left corner like how you have the settings icon on top right.
5. Add character to character gear transmission.
6. Add ability to view gear stats that the vendors are selling.
7. Fix the notifications screen to display new ones without refreshing it.
8. More to come after I read more replies.

The app crashes when I try to look at the info of my guns in the vault. I'm on iPhone. Anybody else have this problem?

I usually am on my android (which I am now) but I tried the destiny app on my wife's iPhone and quite frankly I like it a lot more. While definitely not as simplistic as the current android build, I really like the character screen which shows them all with stats. I will admit the iPhone version seems a bit more tricky to navigate, but overall I just liked the experience more and hope it's brought over to android sooner rather than later. Though I imagine because of how many different models/versions of android are out there they are able to do more optimizing the iOS version and taking advantage of hardware vs android.

I'm using the iOS version and I agree it is a great improvement. The characters to character transfer would be very helpful. A couple things I would like to see: In Legend the tabs are Weapon then Armor, but in Vault it is Armor then weapon. They both should be Weapons then Armor like in game. From the character, you can take from vault for a weapon type and it filters what you can choose from in vault. When I view items in vault, it should allow filtering and/or sorting.

New app is solid. User friendly, easy on the eyes, more info. Still wish we had the old site back tho :(. I want my blue bar. Im going to be losing it soon and getting a green one with year 8 :(. Mythic member 4 lyfe yorkie

This update sucks. It takes 10x more clicks to get to the same information as before. Example try too look up someone's trials of Osiris stats or their most recent crucible game they played. It is almost impossible to find. They app was fast and functional before now it's slow and flashy. The went for looks over functionality.

has anyone noticed that it's hard to see what system a user is on compared to the old app? I was looking for a spindle group and they didn't specify what console they were on. I tried the old looking up their profile trick and couldn't see a notifier. other then that not bad. vault items sometimes don't show up in the app right after transfering into it.

Happened to me on the news page too. Other than those minor issues, great great app I love it. Also yes fix the k/d issue but you're working on that.

I like everything but the color scheme when reading posts. Idk why but I just can't focus when reading. If it was the same as when making a reply (just regular black on white) I would like it much better. Maybe allow you to change it?

I like that fact that it shows you what you completed in the raid. I usually start off with challenge mode on Tuesday and finish up the rest later in the week so this helps.

It looks awesome on the iPad. I hated the fact that it was really a iPhone app "x2". This is more like the website. FANTASTIC!!!

The improvements are really great but they require a lot of power from the phone. I think the new one is far better but that said my note 4 has 3gb of ram and a 2.7 ghz processor. The issues of freezing glitching and force closing is likely due to a shortage of free ram. There should be a way to disable some of the visuals for the sake of efficiency

Meh. I liked the white theme better. Love the divided options in forums now and the perks are being displayed on vendor guns now

Because with android it depends on the phone manufacturer to update so they'll all update differently/different times.
