And how long did it take to make ?
Halo 1 : 2001, Halo 2 : 2004
Borderlands 1 : 2009, Borderlands 2 : 2012
Any other examples ?
And then Destiny 1 : 2014, Destiny 2 : 2017 ? That doesn't sound weird at all right ?

You asked for a good game with a good sequel. Destiny 1 was serviceable at best, nobody knows how good D2 will be. Also, with Borderlands 1 and Halo:CE, the base games that was released on day 1 were both seen as fantastic. DLC was not required for either game in order to get a fantastic experience. The DLC for Borderlands simply added on to what was already a great game. The same cannot be said for Destiny vanilla.
