Give Hip-Hop/Rap a Chance People
I know a lot of you on here don't really like hip hop because of a lack of well, what you guys see as meaningful lyrics. But to me, rap is poetry, so I ask you to give hip hop a chance. These two songs I am about to recommend have the type of lyrics I think you guys are looking for if you [b]actually listen[/b] and don't dismiss it for cursing or simply because it's rap.

To me, music is a extension of your soul and who you are.a lot of ppl arnt at the thinking capasity level as others. so to be close minded is to be unique for some individuals.i personally enjoy all sort of genres so ill give it a shot

A good portion of music that I like doesn't even have lyrics. Were I to judge it based on the mainstream I would regard it as mostly shit. It's too materialistic and too much shameless self promotion. I'm not a fan of arrogance. It's not just rap though. I can't stand country either.

People say the same thing about metalcore and similar music. That it's shit because most of it is meaningless yelling and growling, and as a fan of the genere they're not wrong. It's hard to find good mjsic for any genere
