Top 10 Signs You Won't Kill Oryx

10 tell-tales signs your not going to beat Oryx: 10. You wipe more than 3 times at any stage before Daughters 9. People talk about random shift-f while playing 8. There's no fireteam leadership 7. Players could care less whether you get the chests or not 6. Players posted "looking for quick run" on LFG 5. No communication! 4. The 310 fireteam leader is a HM veteran 3. The fireteam leader has the lowest light level 2. One of the Titans doesn't have BoL levelled up yet, so he runs relic 1. Player tells everyone to kill the wizards and knights at totems while killing none himself

  • my raid rules are u must know what to do for kings fall (this includes know how to do all the roles like relic holder even if you aren't going to be the relic holder) if I start a raid and a person says they know what their doing and they do good but they end up lying and doesn't know how to beat a certain part I kick them. must have good internet. must be 315 or higher. if a 320 person is on my team and they don't know what to do I don't care if their 320 and more powerful than me I will kick. If I say were not wasting time and screwing around I mean it and if my team screws around I will kick all of them. im a 316 titan. warlocks must be self res titans go hammers for first part of KF but bubble after the parkour ships. usually im the only titan on my team and everyone is hunters so I made a new rule for golgoroth. since tether takes away half the targets defense and its a super it takes long to charge up and since melting point takes away all of the targets defense but lasts for a short time overall you get more damage on golgoroth will melting point than u would weapons of light and tether so with tether a golden gun with celestial nighthawk does 2.4 million damage but with only melting point celestial does 5.2 million so my rule is all hunters must be golden gun with celestial and if they don't go golden gun and stay tether u get kicked. if you don't have celestial nighthawk you get kicked unless if 5 hunters have the helmet everythings good. if 1 hunter doesn't have it they can stay cause 4 if good enough. if 2 don't have celestial they both get kicked. if you sing you get kicked no playing music no screaming all the time don't rage and hate the other players must have beaten all challenge mode bosses on hard must have flawlessed kings fall normal or hard doesn't matter. if u didn't u can stay if your good light lvl must have sleeper, red death, touch of malice, black spindle. no using swords. you can use them at the parkour parts pull your own weight in the team. don't care if your a little kid or adult. as long as your good. must not be a person who leaves if we fail once. never doubt yourself must be able to kick oryx's A ss

    • I ran a raid yesterday up to oryx without hearing or speaking to my team. Didn't even hear the game itself (muted sound). That's also after me not raiding in months. Got through that shit easily. Some of your points are "alright". But most of them are extremely nit picky

        • Oryx fails to stagger 3 times in a row or in 5 attempts. Ogres appear then disappear, sometimes teleport. Concept of not running into team during mortars. Pedestool holders don't help with ogres or mobs. Pedestool holders stay even after runner says "I got relic". Player using low impact primaries with high rate of fire.

          When you cheese Totems... I will auto back out from fireteam... Thats a dead giveaway that Oryx wont be beat.

        • This list is actually spot on. I just gave up and accept the fact that 80% of the time we won't kill Oryx with lfg fireteams. Hell most people just stop after gorgaroth or the daughters. Just this week I was with a team and we blew through the whole raid with no problems and when we got to orxy one guy left immediately. We find one more titan on lfg to do the challenge and after one wipe four more leave. Yes just one wipe. I guess the fact that in year 2 raid primaries are blah and we now have three of coins for our exotic drops there is no real point doing the whole raid.

          Totems: Whoever is at the totems - kill boomers. Don't run of without killing boomers. Totems center: whoever is at center kill the major Knights &/or communicate with the ppl Totems if knights are headed towards them. # this ensures totems can be done smoothly Warpriest: left side should have heavy LMg to clear the Wizards quick. Bottom and right have no excuses to die. Warpriest damage: ppl without spindles should call out and be the designated auror. (Unless they are significantly higher level of someone with spindle and can replace them). Phogoth: stop running to get ammo before all ads are killed. Stop running around when ppl are trying to get phogys attention. If ur being rinsed by phogy - take cover. Phogoth gazer: use a zhalo for easiest clear. Phogoth hitters: let Titan be sunbreaker and use melting point; much better than anything else. Also tether after melting point is over. Phogoth exploder: for the love of good it's not hard to notice. Sisters/daughter: assign plates instead of numbers. Have roamer assigned as cover for second run Call ur plate ASAP if ur runner and have assigned roamer take play. DO NOT TOUCH UR CONTROLLER IMMEDIATELY AFTER SLAM. WAIT ONE SECOND AND THEN MOVE TO UR SPOT. UR IN AN AURA AND UNKILLABLE First daughter - no bubbles. Second daughter - a blessing bubble on top to help shoot the daughter while u wait for the runner and the aura. A second Titan with weapons will be more helpful. Oryx: assign runner. Assign platform numbers. Have Titans in the middle. Run blessings and weapons together. Make sure ur malices are at 1. Plates in the front - only shoot ur ogre and ur knight. Shooting ur ogre speeds things up for the Titans in the middle. Then go and crouch at the back. Shoot the acolyte eye if ur brave. Plates in the back: particularly number 3 - shoot ur ogre. Shoot ur knight. And be ready to also shoot 4th knight (especially if ur a reslock) If ur 3rd plate and 4th plate is also in the front - forget it. Kill ur knight and get to the center bubble. Runner carry a sword to wipe the vessel. And quickly get to the middle. Kill 4th knight. Do 8 orbs and then 4 and 4 if not challenge mode. Strategies to make oryx super easy. Or just use a 400 max gally

        • Disagree with 3,7,4 who cares about chests?? I CP totems on my first run so I can skip that on the next two...it's 8 shards for the two runs...wtf would no care about 8 shards I rather save the time and get to the action where I can get gear then do the jumping puzzle extra times. Light level is not always a true reflection of skill. He could be using an alt that is lower but still have most exp.

        • 11. When you have 4 Warlocks, One Titan, and one Hunter. And the person who has to switch for the 2nd Titan is the hunter (happened yesterday. I was the hunter and I had to switch to my Titan) It wasn't too bad, it's just we would get to final phase then something would glitch.

If its wipes from really dumb stuff because someone is just that bad maybe. 9. If you know the raid well and the people you're playing with you can talk about whatever you want. Muscle memory takes care of the rest. 8. Eh depends on the group 7. This is just outright silly. People still actually get the chests? I mean I still grab the exotic one but other than that why? What does not caring about two moldering shards have to do with the ability to complete the raid. I would actually say you're more likely to finish with a group that doesn't care about them because they have done it enough that the moldering shards aren't even worth the two minutes it takes to get them. 1-6 I can agree with.
