Urgent Constructive feedback for hand cannons in PvE for December update
Hey Bungie, I think the hand cannon changes are all great but for them to become more viable in PvE they need to be given an increase to ammo reserves because it seems that even just running around in patrol there is a severe lack of ammo that no other primary deals with.

Agreed. Stopped using them in PVE play because of the accuracy nerf...and I got tired of running out of PRIMARY ammo. No other weapon class is this a problem.

Get the omolon uffern. For some reason has like 20 more bullets than other HCs without carrying extra.

5 RepliesI think the low ammo reserves are to compensate for the high damage per bullet. If they carried more ammo they could deal more total damage than a pulse rifle could before running out. Idk for sure

1 ReplyI ran the daily twice solo a while back, once with a hand cannon while wearing armor that gave me more ammo, and once with a pulse rifle and armor that did not give me extra ammo for it. With the hand cannon, I ran out of primary, then heavy during the boss fight and was so low on special that I resorted to stabbing adds hoping some would drop. When I ran with the pulse rifle, I had no ammo problems whatsoever. Raids.... Well, anyone who has tried to use a hand cannon on one knows how well that works....

You can only carry 7 mags on average with a hand cannon compared to the other primaries that hold much more, I agree with you here
