Which one?
Currently there are three (we don't talk about the j word). I'm a bit nervous about 4 though. It at least looked like a real gears button layout with two primaries, a secondary, and grenades, along with traditional interaction buttons ('y' to look; good sign we're getting away from the cod-like influence of the j word). However, I have no clue about how there can even be a story. The locust are dead. The lambent are dead. I know Sera is a violent place to begin with, but I don't see a gears game in which you only fight the local wildlife being all that appealing or successful.
I'll need a lot more info before giving it my backing or approval. And after all of the disappointment and regret I've had for jumping on halo 4 (still banned from the forums after the specialization code failure) and destiny (get the equivalent of seeing the big fight scene of a movie, then having a stack of flash cards given to you afterwards with vague discriptions of reasoning with lore based on opinion and interpretation), it'll take a whole lot more info and proof to convince me to pre-order anything.
I'm afraid I can't tell you. Still on 360, but I know it's is a pretty looking version of the original game's campaign with a gears 3 styled mutiplayer playlist. Outside of that, I don't know. But I love the series, the real series at least, so that's what I've gone back to.
