  • And for everyone else, the deep web does not exist on the Internet. The deep web is a file sharing network outside of the Internet that uses multiple hosts instead of a single website database. These programs allow you to look at files on other people's computers and usually cannot be located to a single source. This makes it very hard to track activity because when tracked, you find everyone's static IP who is currently using the deep web. This makes it almost impossible to track and this also makes it a very useful site for people who don't want others to know what they are sharing. I'm not saying it is impossible to track, but it is possible to use the process of elimination when determining the IP of a files source or the IP of the user viewing the content. Also, firewalls can be used to scan coding coming in and out of the host device to send false IP's to viewers and to terminate a connection trying to snoop around. It can also be set up to send malicious software to destroy a viewers equipment if suspected of snooping around. This makes it very difficulty and expensive for people to track without the right information. The main factor that makes it difficult to track is that the network can only find a devices static IP. The static IP is basically a calling number to a device such as a computer. This IP is generated at random and cannot be traced without the help of an Internet connection. If a device has ever been connected to the Internet, the ISP automatically stores the static IP of the device and gives it a normal IP address. This address can be tracked to location and time of any connection made to the Internet. So, if you have been on the Internet, it can be traced to where you were accessing the Internet from. This can lead people wherever you accessed the Internet from. If the authorities or another person had a static IP from your device and found where you last connected to the Internet with that device was, it could lead them to your front door. I am not saying that you cannot search the deep web if you want, but I would highly discourage it. The deep web can be useful if used on a secure network like for a business. This would allow multiple computers to connect to each other without running off of a single server. And these computers would be able to be removed from the server and brought where ever and can operate without being connected to the server.

    • Torr The farther you go, the worse it becomes. I give you fair warning that by even misclicking the wrong thing, you can be in some serious trouble. Things such as child pornography, drug lords, human trafficking, and hitmen are available when using a file sharing network and even by accidentally receiving the wrong information, you may become a target of a drug lord or the FBI. Please use caution.

                • There are multiple different operating systems specifically meant for browsing the deep web. Usually Linux based operating systems are the best and it is good to do so on a virtual hard drive so you don't download something and destroy your system. I know Tor works for deep web browsing.
