stop rushing strikes. It's not a race.
What happened to fighting your way through a strike? Everyone seems to rush past the enemy and straight to the boss, what's the point? If you're in a Strike list, you clearly enjoy playing for a while so why rush to the end?
It pisses me off when 2 guardians abandon the 3rd to reach the boss first as if it makes them better at the game or they think they'll get better drops?

I've played since alpha stage. I'm not new to the game. I've played more strikes than you.

Actually the more strikes you do, the better the loot, therefore doing it faster actually could get you better loot.

I doubt anyone that has done all the strikes in the heroic playlist goes..."oh man it's the undying mind again, this is SO EXCITING!" The only time we didn't rush was when it was a new strike for the first time...

^^this^^ Also hate it when the person that rushes to the boss or darkness zone while I'm killing adds does not have enough skill to stay alive and dies, effectively pulling the whole team forward from wipe screen. When I'm taking my time it's usually for drops so I can build up my weapons parts and armor materials. The strikes are a great source for both.

You sure sound new to this game. Ever since alpha and beta people have been rushing strikes. It's human nature to do things as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Stop killing each and every adds. We rush to the boss because he's the only one who might drop something useful.

the only time I Rush through Is on the nightfall other than that I take my time. If people want to rush ahead that's fine by me as long as they don't mind wiping because of it

5 RepliesTo get the strike done faster, it is a race. Who plays the strikes to kill the pointless enemies? You play the strike for boss rewards, faction rep, and three of coins drops. I don't play them to get my 80 billionth dreg kill.

Play with a fire team if you want to play a certain way. This is why matchmaking will not work for raids

I don't think you realize how many times I've run these strikes... Most of my playing time goes towards strikes. I'm literally trying to spend less time doing them.

Some people are pretty much only doing strikes to use their Three of Coins for exotics. Others are going through them to either get their marks fast (if heroic) or simply just to get the loot from the bosses at the end for engrams and what not.

Depends on who I am striking with or what my intent is. If I'm there to use my three of coins, I'm only interested in the boss. And I am also at that point where only raid gear or exotics are high enough light for me to worry about drops.

1 ReplyI think locked doors are effective. If Bungie cares that you experience a particular part then they lock a door. Otherwise it's your call to fight through or bum rush it. Sometimes I like fighting a bunch of adds, other times I like dealing as far as I can then running like hell.
